[Introduction]

[INT00]

This build is focusing more on PvE, while it can also do some PvP at lower rankings.
Playstyle is based on maneuvering attacks by SR with the skills rotation from Ranger. And with the Steady Aim, the already high damage of SR has been enhanced to be far more stronger.
While Retreat Shot is hard to master, it is SR's trump card against any kind of opponents since the Fire Power, AoE, and Attack Range are extremely powerful.
In PvE, this build is very powerful versus numerous tanky mobs such as in Earth Tower. It is not exaggerating that the fire power of Schwarzer Reiter in term of AoE is one of the highest tier in the game right now.
Fortunately, it seemed that people acknowledge SR's potential a lot more after SR got its C3.

Next.
In PvP, your build is the Hard Carry of the team.
All you have is a sheer fire power that able to demolish the whole enemies team if you position yourself correctly and play along with the teamwork. Yes, teamwork OP.
But, be cautious that as pure SR build doesn't have Scout in your build for Cloaking: you need to position yourself extremely careful.
Any help from support is something that will make you shine even more in PvP. So, don't be over-confident all the time and note the importance of every Support in your team.

Note that for the current PvP Meta with Inquisitor everywhere, you'll need to **Relying** on them in order to acquire a victory.
Especially if they're Inquisitor that has either Priest C3 or Diev C3 in their build.

This build will advanced into Schwarzer Reiter C3 build as the 'Original Theme' of this build is 'Crossbow-Pistol Dual Gunner'
For anyone who interested in Hackapell, I'll prepared another guide separately instead.
[Hackapeliitas] should be a build for Hackapell once the class is available for us.

[Class Advancement Section]

[CLS00]

I strongly suggest you to Rush Ranger C3 before Archer C2 as it is your main damage in early game, moreover, Critical Rate Attribute from Swift Step of Archer C2 is not as very effective in early level as how much they did in higher level.

During Rank5, in which you go back from Ranger to Archer, your DPS will be fall off if you compared yourself to other DPS classes in the same level such as Elementalists or Fletchers.
But once again, your DPS will start to rise after hitting Rank6 and acquiring Retreat Shot.

Also, Rogue C1 in Rank5 allow you to have more DMG than Archer C2 with 70% Crit Chance Sneak Hit Buff since you can invest into both STR and Yellow/Red Gems at the same time.
But note that doing so, you'll need a Full Set of Lv10 Werewolf cards in which costs you multiple ten millions of silvers just to make your build playable.

**Minor update, I don't recommend SR1>Msk/Can anymore since the SR itself currently have its own potential.
SR2>Hack is one gimmick build that allow you to use Dash+Retreat Shot for more hits.

I highly recommended to go Pure SR build toward SR C3 at Rank8 as each Circle of SR will multiply its abilities much more.

[Skills Section]

[SKL00]

Archer

[SKL01]

Swift Step (10) for Crit Rate Buff and Evasion, also a little extra movement speed while shooting.
Multi Shot (0~10) for more DMG when other main DMG skills are on CD. I have used this before until I realized that Concentrated Fire from SR C2 already do the job in place of this skill. Yet, this build rely too much on cooldown so I reset skill points from Multi Shot to Heavy Shot.
Full Draw (1~7~10) for 50% Def reduction and CC. This skill is what make you able to fight back some of those pure PvP build.
Level 10 Full Draw pinned its target into terrain for 15 seconds, which is overkill but it still worth.
Oh, and Level 7 or higher Full Draw offer insta-cast mechanics too.
You may put some points into Oblique Shot (0~1) for easier early leveling or spamming slow on your enemies in PvP.
(90% Speed reduction, and also able to slow a target in Safety Zone)
The most useful usage of Oblique Shot is that it costs low SP and allow you to spam it for speed reduction while using Retreat Shot.
Kneeling Shot (0) is for machine gun build, not for Ranger like us. And also, this cant be use while mounted.
Heavy Shot (1~5) slightly push back skill with no CD.
At first, I thought this skill is just plain stupid until I have tried it myself.
Whilst Push Back spamming is annoying for melee fighter without Pain Barrier, overall damage is unexpectedly high for a 300-ish base damage spam-able skill.
This skill also have extra +50% damage versus plate armor as hidden mechanics too.
Note that in term of DPS, Heavy Shot is a filler that is not as strong as Limacon.
Hence, it is more like a utility filler.

Ranger

[SKL02]

Barrage (15) Using Barrage in close range will make all 5 arrow hit the same target. This skill also have some hidden mechanic (or bug?) with Feint from Rogue to make all the hit doubles too.
High Anchoring (0~1~15) not really good for its DMG, but still a decent one for clearing mobs that chasing you. This skill have Attribute that reduce enemy's crit resistance by 15, which is not very worth...
Critical Shot (0~1~5) Single target without CD. Offers some Crit chance, but still not very powerful even Crit since its base DMG is somehow low.
Steady Aim (15) One of the main reason why ppl go Ranger.
20% more DMG for 10 seconds. Use this and unload all your skills to burst down everything in front of you.
**Applied this to every Archer build that have at least C1 Ranger**
Time Bomb (0~1~5) Very low DMG, but knock downed its target after 2 seconds. Use this for your chance to burst down your opponent if you manage to PvP.
Bounce Shot (5) Good source of additional DMG against a group of enemies. This skill somehow does fairly low DMG, but surprisingly powerful when its Crit. Also the DMG stacks much more when Linkers link up your target.
Spiral Arrow (5) This, is why we go Ranger C3. Level 1-4 Spiral Arrow is somehow not good, but it is different story after it hit Level 5. Spiral Arrow at Level 5 deals ton of damage for a early level skills. The true power of Spiral Arrow is the "Speed" rather than "Force".

Schwarzer Reiter

[SKL03]

Concentrated Fire (8~12~14) Multi Shot Mk.II, Pistol Custom
The only difference here apart from Wild shot & Multi shot is that the sheer power of more than 1k base DMG at skill level 10.
The damage this skill can actually do can be up to 16k-20k+ per hit at full charge, in which resulting in hundred thousand of burst damage.
At Level1, this skills only fire 2 times.
But at Level10, this skill's total hit count has been spiked to 15 hits.
Caracole (1) DMG is not that high, but still do a decent DMG in later level. What this skill really do is its back step mechanic to dodge incoming Threat.
Limacon (10~15) Limacon now changed into Running Shot Lite Oblique Shot custom.
It is now your best filler for any Non-Qs SR build.
Retreat Shot (15) Bread and butter of Schwarzer Reiter.
This skill may look stupid, but it surprisingly does chunk down a tons of enemy HP if you manage to lands all shot on the same target for sometimes.

Just for the records, here is how powerful Retreat Shot can get if you has Lv100 Attribute and heavily upgraded Aspana Pistol, the Lv315 Orange Grade.
Wild Shot (0~1) Multi Shot Mk.III, Dual Pistol-Bow Custom
Slightly weaker than Multi Shot right now, but even far more weaker than Concentrated Fire.
The only thing this skill can actually best those 2 is the aiming range which is quite far.
Evasive Maneuvering (0~1~5) Evasion buff skill.
The best thing for this skill is that you can slow down you movement speed even further while using Retreat Shot.
But I don't use it myself since Oblique Shot spamming is more than enough.
Note that Evasion has cap at 85% dodge chance, in which you might already hit that cap with High Dex and Swift Step.
Assault Fire / Marching Fire (5) Your ultimate skill.
It currently may not be as powerful as fully invested Retreat Shot since the enhancement attribute of this skill has not yet to come, but note that the skill itself has proven to be very useful since you can stand still while shooting forward with this skill. Resulting in less setup required in order to use this skill effectively.

-Knockback, toggle it on/off depending on where you are. But I usually turn it off since the knockback is kinda too extreme and sometimes it cause location bug.
Oblique Shot :
-Inflict Slow, you can apply 90% slow power at 25% infliction chance to regular bosses, world bosses, any melee PvP class, and even Clerics in their safety zone.
-Enhancement, if you prefer this for damage dealing filler with probability of slowing down your target.
Heavy Shot :
-Enhancement, if you prefer this for damage dealing filler with knockback spam and extra damage against Plate armor enemies.

-Enhancement. Please priority this.
-Knockback, toggle this on only in Earth Tower, Uphill Saalus Defense, and PvP/GvG.
Crit Shot :
-Enhancement, if you prefer this for damage dealing filler with extra Crit Chance against ridiculously high Crit Resistance targets. Mostly Full Con Wiz. But Heavy Shot usually do better job here since knockback spam will constantly interupt Wiz's casting regardless of Sure Spell.
Steady Aim :
-Enhancement. Maxed this early on.
Bounce Shot :
-Enhancement (Optional).
-Inflict Slow. Same reason with Oblique Shot. But Bounce Shot didn't slow Players in their safety zone.
Spiral Arrow :
-Enhancement. Please Priority This.
-Crit Chance.

Retreat Shot :

After C3 release, this attribute turn Limacon into Running Shot's little brother. With this, Limacon with high enhancement will be your reliable damage dealing filler instead of Heavy Shot and Oblique Shot.
-Limacon : Ricochet or something.
This Attribute allow your Limacon to ricochet into second nearby target like Oblique Shot.

So conclusively, the priority enhancement are :
-Retreat Shot
-Concentrated Fire
-Spiral Arrow
-Barrage
-Limacon (After C3 release only)

Lv30 is acceptable for early investment if you're lack of silvers.
Lv50 is decent for every enhancement before you're Lv280.
Lv70 is ideal for every enhancement. Any non-priority should leave at Lv50 before enhancing priority skills to Lv70 first.
Any investment beyond Lv70 should be exclusive to priority enhancement only until you have them to around Lv90+.

Note that beyond Lv30 enhancement, it does consume an exponentially high amount of silver.
So you might need some efforts for this if you're aiming for competitive play.

For defensive attribute such as Armor Mastery, here are your information :

Leather : Great for stacking evasion, has synergy High Dex and Swift Step. (Note that Evasion has cap at 85% dodge chance)
Level 50 Leather mastery offers :
50 Evasion for wearing 3 Leather armors
Additional 25 Evasion for wearing 4 Leather armors

Plate : Great for stacking max HP and physical defense, has potential to become a tanky Archer if you planned to around 1500-2000 Pdef & Mdef and also train you companion in HP stat to around 20k or even higher.
Level 50 Plate mastery offers :
1700 Max HP and 5% Physical Resistance for wearing 3 Plate armors
Additional 10% Physical Resistance and 16.5 Stamina for wearing 4 Plate armors

**FINALLY, I FEEL LIKE I'M READY TO TACKLE STR VS DEX DILEMMA!**

STR versus DEX
So, it is finally come. The Str VS Dex topic of my guide.
Normally, people would ask what is better between Full Str or Full Dex.
But after some research with my own experiences and observation of top tier players in the current meta ...
As for Schwarzer Reiter whom benefit from both Raw Attack power and frequent Critical Chance...
It is BEST to find the Most Balanced Optimal points for stat build somewhere in between STR and Crit Rate
I'll keep this as simple as possible. To anyone who feel like you're really in need of deep explanation, please leave a comment below and I'll answer you.
I don't want this section to be unnecessarily long.
SO ...
For any AR2 build with Swift Step
You need either DEX or Crit Rate enhancement from gears to enhance your Swift Step scaling even further more. Or have both.
My suggestion is to depended your stat on your Crit Rate at Lv280 with geared on and Swift Step's buff on.
It should be around 500-ish at Lv280.
The rest of the Stat should go to either STR or CON depended on what you're focusing more between PvE or PvP.
Also noted that you need all STR/DEX/CON for any kind of end game content no matter it is PvE or PvP.

You may use Tosbase's Stat Calculator Beta for easier calculation.
Your setting is: Lv280 , Rank7 , and 35 Bonus points (if you collect them all from quests and statue).
Don't forgot to add some extra Crit Rate from gears & green gem if you're planning to use those too, and also +25% overall Crit Rate from Swift Step too.
For example: High Dex build with average Con & decent Str
Original Crit Rate from this Stat Build is 307 at Lv280.
Equiping Manamana with Lv6 Green Gem (42), Crit Rate from Manamana itself (35), Lv5 Green Gem*2 in Crossbow slot (22*2).
Then, activating Archer C2's Swift Step (+25%) will boost your final value of Crit Rate to: [307+(22*2)+42+35]+25% = 535 Crit Rate

With that amount of Crit Rate, your should be Crit very frequently already.
And with the aids of Chronomancer's Quicken & Priest's Monstrance, you can easily hit 100% Crit Chance cap when facing Lv280 World bosses or versus High Con opponents in PvP. The rest of the gears go to fire power such as Critical Attack, Physical Attack, or even Elements Property Attack.
Prior to 27 August 2016, I've written that the preferred bracelet for High Dex build above is Sissel Bracelet.
But it will somehow give excessively high Crit Rate.
Hence, having 2 Gladiator Bands for extra Crit Atk & Str will contribute more into overall DPS.

In the other hands, You don't really need to have Dex higher than Str if you're aiming for 500-ish Crit Rate.
For instance: High Str build with acceptable Con & good Dex
With this example stat allocation, your total Dex is 160 while having 323 Str already. Your raw Crit Rate is only 216.
But combine with Lv5 Green Gem*2 in Crossbow slot (22*2), Lv6 Green Gem*1 in Manamana slot (42), Crit Rate from Manamana itself (35), Crit Rate from 2 Sissels (37*2), and finally with buff from Swift Step (+25%).
Here is your final value of Crit Rate: [216+(22*2)+42+35+(37*2)]+25% = 513.75 Crit Rate

For a Lv330 Hardcore characters, here are your stat build I suggest :
Either
Lv330 Glass Cannon High DEX Build
Or
Lv330 Glass Cannon High STR Build

Note that these two stat builds are the most viable for the current meta with any Ar2-SR3 build.

For a Lv330 Casual characters, here is your stat build I suggest :

For any Rog1 build with Sneak Hit
This is pretty much straight forward and a lot more simple for planning than Ar2 build as Sneak Hit provide you 'Crit Chance'
Crit Chance, is the final value that decide whether your attacks going to be Crit or not. AKA, the Crit percentage.
[ Crit Chance = [(YourCRITRATE-EnemyCRITRESIST)*42]/YourLV ]
So, with this solid and irreducible Crit Chance.. all you need to worry is STR, CON, and Accuracy.
But fortunately, Rogue class has Feint which can reduced enemies' Evasion by up to 50%, so it is acceptable to leave Dex to be very low and focus your stat allocation into either Str or Con.
For example:
Very High Str build with also High Con
Infamous no brainer Full Str

[STT03]

CON
One thing I have seen a lot of people who is still inexperienced to Tree of Savior doing it wrong is that they always build their character into glass-cannon.
(Full DMG, little to no survivability)
I'm not saying that you need to play Tank Archer, but survivability is sometime make you be able to stand there or running around dealing much more DMG in the end than just unload all you have and dropped dead instantly after mobs and bosses turned their aggro toward you.
40~60 Con should be enough for survivability in later levels in this game if you really wanted to build for extremely high DMG that still not a glass-cannon.
60~80 Con if you want to have survivablity much enough to actually survive 2-3 hits from a boss in later level.
Also, please considered at least 80 Con if you planned to play Shotgun-styled Barrage Ranger, or else, just put Knock back attribute to your barrage.

Also, don't forget that by the mean of putting more points into CON, you have either less Str or less Dex too.

The only condition where I would recommend glass-cannon Stat builds is for either High experienced ToS players or players that regularly party up with their friend who is Tanker or Healer.

Note that if you leave your CON to be very low (Around 18 with extra 14 from Max Petamion), you'll need something like Virtov Plate with high level Yellow Gems in armors and pants for extra HP and Defense.

[STT04]

SPR
Around 4~10 Spr should be enough for Schwarzer Reiter and Ranger at all stage of the game.
Considered purchasing Condensed SP Potions from Alchemist players if you seriously burns all your SP in a few seconds everywhere and need more Spr.

[Pet Companion Section]

[CPN00]

As you may know, a pet companion is as important as preparing gears and attribute for a Reiter class.
Companion Level has a very large impact on its status, so a Lv260-280 Companion will be where you should aim for.
But since you're mounting it while combat, your companion will be constantly alive and gain all experience you receive.
This way, your companion will have their level catch up with yours.

Stat training at NPC should be done too. But you can learn it any time you want since the stat training provide a flat stat point anyway.
A priority stat for your Companion is HP, and then Evasion.

Also recently, a Korean server has an update that make Companions be able to equip gears too.
However, a different companion will have different available slot for equipment too.
Velheider
-1 Weapon slot.
Hoglan
-1 Weapon slot & 1 Armor slot.
Guinea Pig
-2 Armor slots.
Red Panda
-(Currently unknown. You guys may provide me an information on this.)
Penguin
-2 Weapon slots & 2 Armor slots.
Battle Bird
-2 Weapon slots & 2 Armor slots.

Those equipments will be the very same piece that a player can equip and will boost the same stat to the companions as they will boost player's when equipped.

[Equipment Section]

[EQM00]

You need to mount companion then equipped Crossbow & Pistol in order to execute SR skills.
Crossbows
Recommended Expendable Crossbows for any classes :
The reason is because you need to change your crossbow anyway every time you advanced your character's level to hit new requirement level for better item. So that, you can just use the new one without any regret abandoning the older one.
Lv40 : Catapult
Lv75 : Arbalest
Lv120 : Bullet Shooter
Lv170 : Windlass
Lv220 : Superior Kracked Shooter
The crossbows listed above are fine with just +0~+5 since you'll be abandoning them anyway.

Special : Expendable Crossbows for Quarrel Shooter :
Lv40 : Grand Cross
Upgrade it to around +7 ~ +10, and use it till Lv220+.

**UPDATE**

3 Slots Early Crossbow
These are some low level Crossbow that can socket 3 Gems.
Hence, making it a good investment for a marathon until you got one of your end game crossbow!
(Plus, you can use this again on your new Archer character!)
Lv15 : Deathweaver Crossbow
The earliest one you can equip.
The damage is not that much lesser than Chapparition Shooter since the main damage are coming from Lv5~Lv7 Red Gems or Yellow Gems that you'll probably wanted to socket into this thing.
Upgrade costs are incredibly low too since it is just a Lv15 Crossbow.
Lv40 : Chapparition Shooter
The good thing about Chap Shooter is that it has extra Block Penetration and slightly higher base damage than Deathweaver Crossbow.
Otherwise, it probably build the same way.

[EQM01]

End Game Crossbows
These are high-level Crossbows with stat such as Physical Attacks, Critical Attack or having 3 Socket Slots available. The reason for this is to enhance more power to Sr's skills via those status.
Choose one of this as your favorite, then aim for +8~+10 as you'll be using them up until Lv330.

Lv170 : Isbality
-Currently The second BEST Crossbow for SR since Isbality can socket 3 Gems.
(Note that 3 Lv7 Yellow Gems in Crossbow = 1,410 Crit Atk stat!)
Anti-Devil property is still good for hunting down World Bosses, but I recommend having another Crossbow in your inventory in case of Beast mobs if you're planning to use this.

Lv170 : Catacombs Shooter
-Utility Crossbow in my eyes. Low price with good status.
Physical Attacks ability does enhance Pistol's attack anyway.
Acquirable from Manticen's cube in Lv200 Dungeon.

Lv170 : Karacha Crossbow
-Very early endgame Crossbow for SR. 150 Crit Attack and the raw Attack Damage is decent. But the sweetest thing of Karacha is extra movement speed. If you want to use Lv315 Pistol but still afraid of losing Movement Speed from Manamana, here is your Crossbow.
Acquirable from Lv181 WB Marionette's cube.

Lv220 : Bandit
-Used to be one of the best end game crossbow for SR due to 226 Crit Atk but also extra 34 Block Penetration.
But now inferior to Isbality due to Gems Slot.
Acquirable from Lv280 WB Helgasercle's cube.

Lv220 : Didel Grand Cross
-Another End Game Crossbow for SR with a decent 136 Crit Atk with extra Accuracy and high attack power.
This is the upgraded version of Grand Cross, so it is 100% End Game crossbow for Qs without any question.
But the point is, with this much powerful status of Didel Grand Cross (and how beautiful it is), this Crossbow is also available for any SR build including Ranger.

Lv315 : Silver Hawk The third BEST Crossbow for SR
Extra STR, Extra DEX, and even Min-Max Atk that affected your Pistol.
This beautiful Silver Hawk offered you all of the offensive Stat you're looking for.
Despite having only 2 Socket Slot available, the Min-Max Atk and extra STR make up for it.
Note that you required one Practonium to craft this Crossbow.
(Practoniums are given to each character only ONCE. However, you may buy it from someone else or trade it from your other characters.)

Lv315 : Regard Horn Crossbow The STRONGEST Crossbow for any Archers
3 Socket Slots, with sweet Crit Atk and Crit Rate on the top.
What else do you ask for? Oh, right... the crafting costs...
Regard Horn Xbow required not only 2 Practonium for crafting but also many rare Post-Lv280 crafting material that dropped from insanely strong mobs.
This one is the "you get what you paid for" Crossbow.
However, if you're really interested in this guy, I suggest you have a look at Lv315 Pistols first.

Sub Weapon
Pre-Lv170 : you can just simply go for 2H Bow or Crossbow with anything else. Arde Dagger should be a good additional source of damage if you manage to effort one or have some luck from boss cube. Or, if you happened to acquired Ledas Shield from Lv115 dungeon, then use it and always keep it with you even after you got your end-game pistol.

Lv170 : Handgun is the most early good Pistol available for SR. The reason why this is good is because it upgraded all SR skill by 1 Level when equiped.

Lv170 : Manamana is your mid game Pistol.
The true power of Manamana is not firepower but the utility it provide. This is the very Pistol that you'll use throughout game until you got Lv315 Pistol.

Lv220 : Vienie Revolver is an alternative mid-game pistol to Manamana.
This one is a lot cheaper and still provide some good DEX and firepower. But note that Vienie Revolver has no Socket Slot available.

Lv315 : Double Stack The SECOND BEST Pistol for SR.
This double barrel pistol has great firepower, extra DEX, and Min-Max Atk for you.
The extra INT is kind of questionable though.
But who know, Schwarzer Reiter might be able to fire a Magic Retreat Shot at Rank10?
With 2 Socket Slot, you can have 370 Extra Physical Atk from triple Lv7 Red Gems in Pistol! See Reference
This pistol can spike your Retreat Shot up to around 20k per hit!
(Required 1 Practoniums and a lot of common craft materials from Crystal Mine Mission!)

Lv315 : Aspana Revolver The MOST POWERFUL Pistol for SR.
This, is the Pistol that show the true potential of SR.
The crafting price is extremely insane, but you got even more than what you paid for.
Sheer firepower, STR, CON, Crit Rate, Crit Atk, Block Penetration, and even some SPR.
This is a pistol that not only have extremely powerful damage but also provide even more stat than a freaking Max Petamion!
With 3 Socket Slot, you can have 555 Extra Physical Atk from triple Lv7 Red Gems in Pistol! See Reference
This pistol can spike your Retreat Shot up to around 30k per hit!
(Required 2 Practoniums and a lot of rare craft materials from insanely powerful Post-Lv280 Mobs!)

Transcendence
Well, since SR's damage based on Pistol, I recommend transcendence a Pistol instead of Crossbow.

At Trans 5 should be powerful enough for everyone.
But if you got some load of silver left, well, it has no draw back for anyone to go as far as Trans 10 either.

Armors
Here again, I recommended common grade armors that have highest Defense, Evasion, Accuracy of each level for expendable Armors at early levels.

Notable High Level Armors :

Leather
Shade Dancer + Shade Skirt
I'll start with this two, the notable Leather armors that provide you the highest evasion available.

These evasion may look sweet even if there is 85% Dodge chance cap...
However, the absent Physical Defense is NOT something to ignored!
It is true that Post-Lv280 Mobs are extremely offensive.
But some people just assumed that you are going to need more HP and Defense value become useless.

"1 Physical Defense equal to just 1 Damage value reduction"

THIS IS THE BIGGEST ToS MISCONCEPTION

The reason is because that statement only applied to a x100% Tier1~3 Atk Modifier.

The truth is that, late game mobs have only mediocre raw attack but instead have extremely high atk modifier that ranges somewhere between 500%~1,000%.
With this, a 200 either Pdef or Mdef can reduce up to 1,000~2,000 damage per hit from those huge modifer attacks!

Now imagine your character having up to 2000 Pdef / Mdef, you can tank up to essential 10,000~20,000 damage per hit from those insanely high modifier attacks!.
(Note that Tier1~3 Modifiers applied after defense reduction, while Tier0 Modifiers are extremely uncommon and can be found only in something like Hunter's Rush Dog)

What seemed to be more tanky between having 30,000 HP but taking more than 10,000 damage per hit ...
OR having only 12,000 HP but taking only less than 100 damage per hit?

3 hit-KO or less / 120 hit-KO or more.
Yes, the answer is obvious there.

So generally, I would recommended something more like Plate Armor Set or Cloth Armor Set instead nowaday due to the Physical Damage / Magical Damage Reduction.

The only notable Leather Armors I really recommended are :
-Those offensive Leather Gloves that provide either Crit Rate or Crit Atk or DEX. (Newt Leather / Hasta Leather / Virtov Leather)
-Wind Runner that provide you extra 3 Movement Speed for Kiting effectively and 3 Socket Slot for Blue Gems' Mdef.

Back to Shade Dancer & Skirt case.
If those 2 still got your interested even after I explained how Defense works, I strongly suggest upgrading those 2 to around +10 or higher for extra hundred Pdef.

ABOUT BUILDING UP PDEF / MDEF
-The extra Pdef and Mdef can be bought along with Hair Costume that each stat can have up to 110 either Pdef or Mdef.
Or even both in the same costume.
-Regarding Gems, x4 Lv7 Yellow Gems in Armors & Pants equal to 280 (70x4) Pdef and x3 Lv7 Blue Gems in Boots equal to 210 (70x3) Mdef.
-Nuaele Cards also boost your Mdef up by 10% each card you equip in case you're willing to sacrifice some extra DEX from Ellaganos Cards.
-Transcendence a +8~+10 or higher Necklace & Bracelet provide you a lot of Mdef too, in case you have extra silver or bless shard to spare.
-Moreover, the current patch now have extra +10% Pdef and Mdef per Character Class Rank.

Building 2,000 Pdef & 2,000 Mdef shouldn't be a problematic case to a DPS character anymore, I supposed so since these investments aren't actually seize your DPS down that much except for stacking Nuaele Cards.

Plate :
[UNDER CONSTRUCTION]
For now :
-Hasta / Newt / Virtov Plate Armor + 2 Lv7 Yellow Gems
-Hasta / Newt / Virtov Plate Pants + 2 Lv7 Yellow Gems
-Any high level Plate Gloves just to complete a Plate Matery Attribute. Ideally one with Block Penetration or multple Socket Slot.
-Any high level Plate Boots that should have 2 or 3 Socket Slot.
But don't think there are Plate Boots that have 3 Socket Slot existed... so, one with Pdef or Mdef are good too.

Cards
Here is a new featured introduced to the game recently.
Boss Cards now can be equip then granted special status to you depending on what type of cards you equip and how many stars level did you upgraded it.
As per one class rank, you can equip 1 more cards, resulting in 7 cards can be equip at Rank 7 character.
Note that Boss Cards will lose 1 Lv upon unequiping.
So it is best to be patient and equip Lv10 Boss Cards.

Here's few boss cards that seemed to benefit Schwarzer Reiter:

Ellaganos Card
[Card Equip Effect] +[☆] DEX Stat
-Simply straight forward. 10 Extra DEX for you if equip Lv10 Ellaganos Cards.
Considered this if you're either Low DEX or intentionally stacking Crit Rate from DEX.

Glass Mole Card
[Card Equip Effect] Physical Attack +[☆]% for 4 seconds when using any type of SP Potion.
-Well, it's kinda like another substitute for Steady Aim unless it only boost your Physical Attack not Skill Base Damage and stay for 4 seconds only.
But since Steady Aim boost everything, it also boost bonus Physical attacks from this cards after damage calculation too.

I have always confused about how "The effects are no longer stacked" works with Glass Mole.
But now, greedus.bel has explained it :
"They still work the same way like before. You still can get +80% from your phis.atk. with 8 lvl 10 glass mole cards. Earlier there was a abuse, wich allows you to trigger GM cards few times by using different potions. This abuse has been fixed at 27.12.16."

Manticen Card
[Card Equip Effect] +[Maximum ☆/2] movement speed for 5 seconds after using STA Type Potions.
-Extra 5 Movement Speed for Lv10 Manticen Card is pretty useful.
Can be used for escaping or reposition yourself in certain situation in both PvE and PvP.
Equip only 1 of this though, any other Manticen Card more than this will give the same movement speed.

Werewolf Card
[Card Equip Effect] [☆]% chance of attacks being registered as Rear Attacks.
-A must for any build that rely on solid Crit Chance from Rogue.

Nuaele Card
[Card Equip Effect] +[☆] Magical Defense
-Provide you a higher survivability against magic attacks once you stack this up for at least 4-5 cards.
The extra Magical Defense per ☆ is actually % not flat M-Def, so Lv10 Nuaele cards = +10% M-Def.

Glazing Golem Card
[Card Equip Effect] +[Total Number of any Cards equipped]% chance to invoke Pain Barrier Lv 1 when attacked.
-Quite useful. This can be dropped from Glazing Golem itself in Royal Mausoleum Saalus. I have obtain one of this and try it already.
The proc chance is quite decent too. But I think equiping more than 1 of this might actually be a drawback instead of benefit.

Hi,
About stat distribution, on your calculators you have something like

286 STR (272+14) and 305 DEX (251+14+40).

but there is no explanation about how you get 272 points on str and 251 on dex... I guess it's from equipment, but there is no explanation on how I should start distributing points to aim for the equipment to get those stats.
I am not sure if I am clear enough, not good english and really noob player.

Didnt expected someone to made their way here after I set this build to private lol
Anyway, most information here are pretty much outdated.

The stat calculation up there are from pre-balance patch, in which the game used to have bonus stat from every 5 / 4 / 3 / 2 stat points you spent on that stat.

But now it is just flat number that just add up.

Currently, I suggest 230Dex or 280Dex and rest into Str.
Or you can also do a Full Dex too.

Since the skills got switched to % instead Flat numbers. Wouldn't it be best, to take the change to have more skills instead waste 15points in just one skill?

4Example:
Wild Shot lv10 gives around 258% dmg boost. Form 247% at lv9 goes to 258% at lvl10 you get like [u]11% boost[/u] :hmm:
But is it really a good idea to invest this one point here?
I mean, Concentrated Fire, if you invest 1 point there, you get free [u]124% x 10 times[/u]. :rice:

Hey, I was following your build for SR3 with QS3 A2 together with this one. What essentially changed after the patch? Do I go for 100 Dex then Full STR as well? What skills are worth levelling? Is Didel Grand Cross still the best crossbow?

Actually, is it worth just giving QS up because Limacon is OP now and would be a better Running Shot? Idk what to do man I'm so lost lol. Please help me out.

Can't wait for @Tannegimaru SR After Patch Guide to finish, but for sure Limacon is really OP after patch, i ended up using basic atk with pistol during Daily Mission, i tried 100 invested points for DEX and rest to STR and turn out pretty good ~

Hey, I'm a returning player, was following your build before leaving - now things changed. I'm wondering if my SR1(at the moment. Going for Ar2Ran2App1SR3 (with reset)) would be a good replacement for my Scout3 to farm 170 dung? Would it be possible pre rank7 or 8? If so is there a better build for that? Also just wanted to know if full DEX is the way to go or some STR is needed? And Green gems or... ?

If you go DEX you will have atk speed like crazy but deal no dmg.
If you go STR you do dmg but your skills won't benefit from atk speed, like Limacon(which alredy has been proved to be even better then Running Shot from QS. ~

@youn.ho-jun Or a mixture of both (doesn't have to be perfect ballance), but if you are aiming for APP build, you might wanna consider a little more STR over DEX, and wear RED GEMs on your weapons.

Personally I'm going 50/50, my guild m8 prefers a more STR over DEX type of build(he also plans to wear plate to compensate the lack of Dex).

Hello Tanne!! Today I tested A1-Ranger3-Rogue1-SR3...
I think this build needs a lot Werewolf10, so I will change..
I put 100 Dex and it makes a good atack speed i think.. But I'm not sure about this..
So.. I'm thinking that the best and not so expensive build will be Archer2-Ranger3-SR3 or Archer2-Ranger2-SR3-Apraiser... Do you think anything different?? Tell about the status distribuition that you're putting and the builds you're testing!! :D

I think that Qs3 after patch become stronger.
But its true potential will be shown if the build is DEX-Oriented and using Kneeling Shot since DEX will provide Atk Speed and Kneeling Shot will convert your DEX into Patk.

Hackapell on the other hands, doesn't need arrow stacking mechanic anymore.

So I think QsHack will be separated from each other.
(Like, Hackapell will be WuguFalHack / RogFalHack while Qs will be more like QsFal)

From May 16th ~ May 30th, each day you can revceive Rank Reset, Stat Reset, and Skill Reset from NPC Kupoles in any town. All three of those reset.
So it is total 15 Reset of each type.
(But each of them last just 1 days, so you can't keep them for later use)

Yes, I think that Red Gems are going to be more powerful than Yellow Gems in general.
Unless the build is something like Ar2+Rog1 that can build up massive Crit Chance, Yellow Gems should not be an ideal option.

Just got back to ToS last week.
There's a lot of information for me to update in this guide.

If I may use an excuse, I would say that I can't play ToS on my PC like usual anymore.
I just barely made it to be playable on Mac, thanks to S-Loxe from the official forum! XD

Anyway, I'm aware that kToS has a new balance system implemented.
The guide will be appropriately updated for the new revamp once they're on iToS.

One thing to look forward in next patch is DEX.
Despite it doesn't have a Crit Rate anymore (Crit Rate = CharacterLv/2 instead), it have an additional attack speed instead.

And the thing is, the attack speed is extremely significant with a very high DEX.

Anyway, I'm kind of frustrate that the 'best' optimal build for SR in revamp patch going to be something that costs a lot more to built effectively.
I personally fine with that since I have in-game resource for investment.

But the thing is that they'll not going to be very beginner-friendly build.
For instanced :
[ Ar2Ran2Rog1SR3 ]
This is the only build that would still allow SR to reach 80% Crit Chance without building around 2000 Crit Rate after revamp patch.
But it need a full set of Werewolf Cards in order to be effective.
Not very beginner-friendly since it need a lot of silver.
[ Ar2Ran2App1SR3 ]
This build doesn't have Ar2Rog1's Crit Chance, but it has Appraiser to buff pistol damage even further.
But Appraiser is a hidden class.
The class changing quest might not be as hard as Shinobi, but it is still not very beginner-friendly too.

Of course, Ar2Ran3SR3 is still playable. Its just not the most optimal build for SR after patch.

What make I really frustrated about is that; should I updated "this 1st ranked build" into one of those two above and linked to alternative build for Ar2Ran3SR3 just in case?
I'm not worry about a veteran whom know what each build can do by just looking at.
I'm worry more about a beginner player who is going to pick one of those two above as their first character, only to get stuck later on realizing that they have picked a non-beginner-friendly build.

I think you should stay with this build, and build a new post/tutorial with the new build, as A2Ranger3SR3 will still be viable!!

Another question.. Did you know about the gear of the next patch??
Isbality + Manamana still best options before Practonium/Lolo/Solmiki weapons?
And do you know which leather set will be the best for lvl270+?

I still can't find any QsSR video from kToS.
From what I've seen, most of the Qs3 players reset into something else since they need to utilize Ar2's Kneeling Shot in order to use Running Shot at its full potential.
Luckily, the new Running Shot in a Full DEX build is no joke when they're using Kneeling Shot.
They got full atk speed bonus from being Full DEX and bonus damage from DEX when using Kneeling Shot.
Although they've became immobile during this combo, they still have Deploy Pavise to defense themselves from physical attacks.
(Yes, placing a Qs shield in front of you actually become a things now. I really like this concept)
Meanwhile, SR3 now have its own Running Shot alias as Limacon upgraded and Appraiser to boost up Pistol damage.
So I doubt that it might also leading to the QsSR build being obsoleted.

Strangely enough, a player on KR site said that Ran and Rog now have better rating for Archer builds.

I can see why Rogue is good, but Ranger doesn't have any significant change that much.
So may be Korean Archers now leaning toward into burst damage more.

But well, Ar3Ran1Rog1SR3 also looks viable too. It just got maxed Swift Step, Oblique Shot, and Twin Arrow at the cost of 5% less Steady Aim and slightly weaker Barrage.

For gears, Manamana will still be the best pre-315 Pistol for SR.
Guess what, it have receive a buff and became even far more stronger.
Here is their stat comparison :

So I guess Manamana will be even more expensive.
(Not to mentioned that Corsair3 now also become extremely strong. And they used Manamana too)
On the other hand, Alcris from hunting ground will be a second best pistol for SR pre-315 if they can't afford Manamana.

Isbality will still be a good Crossbow for socketing 3 gems slot.
But however, another 3 gems slot from hunting ground will be viable too.
For example : Pajoritas Crossbow and Crisius Crossbow.
But the best Crossbow out there is still Regards Red Horn. At least in term of performance and not economic-wise though.

One good thing is that Isbality will become cheaper due to less people using Crossbow.
Two-Handed Bow become extremely more powerful after patch and more archers tended to use it rather than Crossbow + Manamana/Dagger.

For Leather set, I can say that I don't really appreciate many of them except one from Earth Tower.
Most of the rest have kind of mediocre stat and def, while Lolopanther Leather and Solmiki Leather felt like they've came from godly realm. I don't know why. lol
However, Plate set have a lot more defensive stat and great choice available for you outside Earth Tower.

Virtov Plate now have receive upgraded bonus since it is Purple Grade.
Hasta Plate's CON also provide more Max HP too.
And even for Swordie, Nyx Knight will be even more stronger for them too.

So I guess I'll rate armor like this for SR.
[ Common, Magic, and Rare Grade armor from outside ET ]
Plate > Cloth > Leather
[ Legendary Grade armor of Lolopanther and Solmiki ]
Leather > Plate > Cloth

Oh, and one more thing.
Concentrated Fire is going to be replaced by Wild Shot when the revamp patch came.
Lv15 ConFire = 219% x 10 Hits
Lv10 WildShot = 258% x 9 Hits
And Wild Shot has more range, quicker charging time, and shorter cool down too.
So I guess we'll finally able to "Crossbow-Pistol Dual Gunner" with other skill not just Marching Fire.

Yes, SR is going to be even more DEX-oriented build for Limacon atk speed.
But building with 100 STR should be optional too since a Full DEX build will missed out some Patk from STR.

Or, if you have Ar2Rog1 build and can invest a Full Werewolf build, Full DEX is going to be extremely strong since you'll be able to build around 70%~80% Crit Chance and utilizing DEX's new Crit Atk.
Otherwise, for a build such as AppraiserSR, Red Gem should be more powerful due to the new "skill modifier" calculation that rely a lot more on Patk and MinMaxAtk.

A high level player of Silute made a tutorial which the build is A1-Ranger3-Rogue1-SR3.. With 6~8 Werewolf cards.. I think 70% Crit Rate from Sneaky Hit will be OK too.. But I'll test everything tomorrow.. Other thing is that he will put High STR (like 70 con 70 dex, after this full STR..)...

Another thing on SR buils that I only read but don't know how will be is "Wildshot x Concentrate Fire".. Forum was telling that Wildshot is now better...

Do you know anything about this?

Yes, I've watched his gameplay already.
But the thing is that Sneak hit after patch has only 40% Crit Chance at Lv5.
So may be Archer2+Rogue1 will fulfill each other when building Crit.

And yeah, Wild Shot now is better than Concentrated Fire.

But currently, there is also an Appraiser C1 route, Ar2Ran2App1SR3, that allow you to maximize SR's kit even further more than Ar2Ran3SR3 build.

Both of these build are viable at late game.
You may choose the one that is more suitable to your preference.

Alcris is a new pistol that was implemented with Lv170 Free Dungeon, AKA the hunting ground.
Their socket slots are depending on when they're appraised by appraiser.
Ranging from 1~4 slot, 1 slot has the highest appraising chance while 4 slot has the rarest appraising chance.

I would say that it is a pretty good pistol when comparing to Manamana.
Especially if you get your hands on one that has 2 or more socket slots.

But on the other hands, Manamana will have higher base damage and enhancement damage after the next revamp patch. (Implemented in kToS but not yet in iToS)

[ Alcris ]
Current Atk : 201 - 201 (+120 at +10 Enhancement)
Revamp Atk : 525 - 641 (+257 at +10 Enhancement)

For Armor, Virtov and Hasta are still one of the most protective gears available. (Excluding Lolopanther and Solmiki from Earth Tower.)
But Lv220 Common grade armor such as Superior Royal Guard and Superior Bandit are still a decent armor considering their price.
The important thing is to socket multiple Lv5 or higher Yellow gem into top and bottom in order to enhancing Pdef, and Blue gem into shoes for Mdef.

For Weapon, whether using Double Stack or Aspana Revolver is really depend on how much you would like to invest into character.
But both are viable throughout the game in term of performance.

I want to ask about bracelet and card i have to choose, and my stats build is full dex
- Bracelet : should i use phada for crit attack & physical attack or should i use sissel for more crit rate ?
- Card : i watched on some videos , full dex SR using only elleganos card, wondering if you have better suggestion if i have to use elleganos card for more dex or should i use glass mole or even deadborn card in consider ?

Bracelet :
I would recommended Sissel for a long run.
Crit Rate is going to be built harder in next revamp patch, and extra Patk is going to be more noticeable since all attacking skill will remove base damage and use Patk modifier instead.
But both Bracelet provide Patk anyway though.
On the other hands, I'm not very sure how much does Crit Atk perform in the next revamp patch. But Phada is also an alternative option for a very high DEX build archer in current patch, given that they already have enough Crit Rate.

Card :
Ellaganos is still a pretty good option for SR. Both current patch and revamp patch.
Despite DEX don't provide Crit Rate anymore after revamp, it does make your attacks and skill quicker. (Like, almost twice as quick at around 100~200 DEX)
Glass Mole, on the other hands, become extremely effective due to the new skill calculation of revamp patch.
Since all skill has their base damage removed and used a Patk modifier instead, Glass Mole Cards are going to be affect the whole damage output.
For Deadborn Card, using 8 Ellaganos for 80 DEX and swapping 80 basic stat from DEX into 80 STR will be more effective though.
Since it is going to be ultimately 136 STR, 136 Crit Atk, and 340 damage when Crit.

hey bro im back :)

what is the best sword to aim for QsHack?? ( 315 swords not include) I honestly want an Imperni Sword but its definitely out of reach for me T_T
So, im considering these swords as an alternative choice :

1.) Trinity Sword (Physical Attack 122 - 149) a much cheaper sword with good quality. Unfortunately only 2 sockets.
- STR 40
-Critical Attack 156
- Accuracy 32

2.) Durandal (Physical Attack 100 - 123) another 3 socket sword aside Imperni sword and orange 315, the one good thing ive saw here was it is "easier and much cheaper" to enchanced since its only an lvl 75 item.
- STR 15
- CON 15

3.) Magas Sword ( Physical Attack 199 - 244) highest phy attk among the three. Only 2 sockets but, since it has a 218 Critical attack, i absolutely think that it is enough to "fill" its 2 sockets ( putting yellow gems lvl 6) to compete with those 3 socketed swords with yellow gem lvl 6.

- Critical Attack 218
- Evansion 21
- HP 1587

Ah, I see. Fyringy with 4 slots are good too.

For armor, Virtov Plate should be more protective in general since it provide around 3000HP from top and bottom.
Meanwhile, Virtov Cloth will be more of a specific armor that you switched to when facing a strong magic bosses.
Normal magic mobs should be enough with +8 Lv170~220 Bracelet and Necklace.

That's what at least for this patch.

For next patch, Virtov Plate will be even more tankier since it'll have Mdef implemented into its basic stat.
And this Mdef will receive a bonus from enhancement, just like its original Pdef.
And Virtov Clothes will be even more magic resistance too, since it also receive even further more Mdef from basic stat.
Not to mentioned that both of them are purple grade, they'll receive additional bonus stat from enhancement.
