This is for all the Shinobi fans that are confused and not sure about what is the most optimal build for their characters. Don't worry. In this guide, I will explain the thought process and some base calculations of damage for the different possible paths that lead up to the shinobi class. If you don't care about all these explanations, scroll down to the bottom for skills with brief overviews, and stat points distributions.
For those that are new to the Shinobi class, here is the simple guide for the skillset:
Kunai : Awesome skill. Cooldown is 15 seconds which makes it your primary attack skill. Has a decent range/aoe for kiting or attacking monsters from a safe distance. This skill is your bread and butter with Bunshin no Jutsu.
Bunshin no Jutsu : This is a very important skill. Double edged sword - On the tooltip, it doesn't show but you take alot more damage while this skill is up. Several others and I have noticed this when we use the skill. Keep this in mind since you will notice that your health will drop very fast. Some say that defence is decreased (to 20%) and evasion is decreased (divided by the number of clones you summon) or you get an invisible damage amplification to damage you take - no one really knows. Clones work with swordsman attack skills and kunai.
Mokuton no Jutsu : Utility skill for restricting movement (gained from attribute)
Katon no Jutsu : Good skill that does decent dps and nice utility (gained from attribute). Stealth is great for escape and de-aggro.
Mijin no Jutsu : Mixed opinions here. Currently buggy with the skill animation and huge health loss makes it not as appealing.
Lets dive right in. Below, I have listed the classes and explained the synergy with the shinobi class.
Swordsman - Great synergy with Bunshin no Jutsu. Swordsman c2 is a popular choice. The question is whether getting swordsman c3 is worth it. All attack skills work with clones.
Thrust : NEVER MAX this skill. In some builds this skill is not necessary. This skill is only for the Bleed attribute and is very low damage.
Bash : MAX if going Swordsman c3. Also good for knockback. Only put a few points in for utility if going Swordsman c2.
Gung Ho : Good for both Swordsman c2 and Swordsman c3 but DON'T MAX for PvP.
Concentrate : Good skill since flat damage increase. For auto-attack based builds. If going Swordsman c3, you can put some points into this. If swordsman c2, MAX this
Pain Barrier : If going for PvP build, this should be very high or maxed
Double Slash : MAX if Swordsman c3
Swordsman c3 ROUTES
Swordsman c3 Pro: With Bunshin no Jutsu active, it undoubtedly does more damage per rotation for investing into 1 class level than into any other class.
Double slash lvl 5 = 530 atk, 730 atk (if target is bleeding). Skill hits twice and has 3 charges. With Bunshin no Jutsu active, 19080 is the total damage gained from this 1 skill, 26280 (if target is bleeding). This does not account for the maxed attribute, possible criticals, and more levels invested into Bash, Concentrate, and Gung Ho which also increases dps.
Swordsman c3 Con: Most important thing to note is that Swordsman c3 limits your role to basically a burst glass cannon dps with no utility. Going 3 levels into Swordsman also limits your options for other classes. It makes it so that you only have 3 more classes to choose from before you reach Shinobi. This is particularly bad since most of the remaining classes have strong skills that synergize with Swordsman in c2 so then you're restricting yourself to 1 stand-alone class or fully going c3 into 1 class. You will have to invest into Highlander, Hoplite, or Barbarian for your next class.
Swordsman c3 Playstyle: *Note* - Many aspects of this game are team based (PvPs are 5v5 - not 1v1, Instances, GvG, etc.). People who say Swordsman c3 can only PvE are outright wrong. Swordsman c3 will make you vulnerable but this doesn't mean you will straight up die in a fight. It's all situational and is largely based on skill; Knowledge is half the battle.
Highlander: The primary synergy skill is Crosscut which is a high chance to bleed and is much better than Thrust (with Bleed attribute). The secondary skills are Skyliner and Moulinet which increase dps but don't have direct synergy with Swordsman skills. Also 50% Critical attack with 2h sword (Highlander class attribute) is nice. Going highlander after Swordsman c3 pretty much limits you into going Swordsman c3 > Highlander c3 > Shinobi.
Hoplite: The most useful skill here is Spear Lunge which is found in c2. Kunai is a pierce attack so Spear Lunge > Kunai will deal more damage. Again you limit yourself to 1 remaining class (most viable is
Barbarian) or c3 with Hoplite. Swordsman c3 > Hoplite c2 > Barbarian c1/Hoplite c3/Corsair c1 > Shinobi
Barbarian: If going Swordsman c3, Barbarian is probably the worst option since you will not benefit from this class as much. The synergy skill here is Helm Chopper; it is amost always a guaranteed stun (not on bosses) which you can use to proc the Thrust attribute and inflict bleeding. Barbarian is unique in that you can choose to go only c1 for barbarian. Going c2 doesn't really contribute to utility or add more dps so stick with c1 barbarian. Possible build paths are Swordsman c3 > Barbarian c1 > Hoplite/Corsair c2 > Shinobi. Corsair c2 can be good for extra damage skills and dual wield but not recommended if going Swordsman c3 [until they release rank 8, that is].
Swordsman c2 ROUTES (Recommended)
Swordsman c2 Playstyle: With this build, you have to be opportunistic - same as Swordsman c3. The difference is that you will not have the insane burst of swordsman c3. Instead, you have much better sustained dps; once you finish your skill rotations and as you wait for your CDs, all you have to do is autoattack and it's pretty much the same damage if not more than your skill rotations themselves. In PvP and GvG, instead of bursting some squishy enemy down in a few seconds, you hard cc them and/or use restrain. If you're not unlucky, they'll be permanently stunned not only for you but also for your team. This allows you to fare much better against a variety of classes which is why it's recommended for PvP.
Best Possible Build:
Swordsman c2 > Barbarian/Hoplite c2 > Corsair c2 > Shinobi
Barbarian c2: Utility, Utility, and more Utility. Going Barbarian c2 is super strong for single target damage and auto-attacks. Obviously going Swordsman C2 eliminates the high damage output from Double Slash but gives you a lot more utility. Barbarian c2 gives access to Warcry and Frenzy which makes your auto attack damage output crazy high when you have your clones out. Also Seism is another possible stun which adds more utility. Corsair c2 adds more utility with Iron hook, Keel Hauling, and Dust Devil but more importantly gives access to Double weapon Assault. It allows you to basically get all stacks from Frenzy within about 5 seconds and basically doubles your attack speed for Restrain. Hexen Dropper also add alot of dps. This build is definitely PvP and GvG oriented since it has consistent cc which are guaranteed in a variety of situations.
Hoplite c2: Awesome damage. Only utility is from Corsair but the damage output is high. The basic concept is Spear Lunge into pierce skills (Hexen dropper, auto-attacks, Kunai, etc.) and combine that with Double weapon Assault and Finestra to deal massive damage. Obviously this build is oriented for PvE.
An alternative to these 2 builds is Swordsman c2 > Barbarian/Hoplite c2 > Barbarian/Hoplite c2 > Shinobi. You don't get the useful damage/utility + dualwielding from corsair but instead have more damage skill rotations along with really nice buffs from both Barbarian and Hoplite (Crit + Dmg Buffs/Debuffs = Nice Damage). This build is currently being tested on KR server.
Sample Build
Swordsman
Thrust: 0/5 Bad in this build. No CD but terrible damage and skill animation. Compared to a regular auto-attack, you will get off 1 thrust for every 2 auto attacks in the same amount of time.
Bash: 2/5 Good for knockback and leveling. Not really useful again until becoming shinobi. Even then, damage is sub-par.
Gung Ho: 3/5 Good for leveling and nice damage output. Don't level it too much since your defense will already be low from Bushin no Jutsu.
Concentrate: 5/5 Flat damage. Good for leveling and auto-attacks.
Pain Barrier: 3/5 Good for Bossing and PvP.
Restrain: 4/5 Great for PvP
Pommel Beat: 0/5 Don't get this, it adds nothing to your kit.
Barbarian
Embowel: 0/5 Looks cool but skill is useless.
Stomping Kick: 0/5 Also not very good in this build.
Cleave: 5/5 Great skill to follow up after Helm Chopper.
Helm Chopper: 5/5 EZ stuns & Great Damage.
Warcry: 5/5 Physical defense decrease on enemy and increase your own attack. Very nice but cast animation is a bit long.
Frenzy: 5/5 Auto attack bosses to death.
Seism: 5/5 Great damage, and possible stuns.
Corsair
Jolly Roger: 4/5 Debatable. As you level it, there is a higher chance for drops and more coins. Useful in a party and sometimes farming so you decide how many points you want to allocate to this.
Iron Hook: 3/5 Good for PvP and sometimes PvE. More points = longer duration. You decide if this is worth.
Keel Hauling: 3/5 If uninterrupted, isolate enemies for EZ kill in PvP or GvG. But only need 1 point since it is for utility not damage.
Unlock Chest: 1/5 This skill is pretty much for roleplaying purposes only. Can be useful but you're better off leveling Jolly Roger since it also adds to party play.
Dust Devil: 5/5 Immobilize enemies and hefty damage.
Double Weapon Assault: 5/5 Great skill to have if you're auto attacking. More points = longer duration so less downtime in between casts. NOTE: Takes quite a bit of stamina if the skill is spammed.
Hexen Dropper: 5/5 Excellent Damage, Hits many times.
STATS
The general rule of thumb for Shinobi is DEX ≥ STR > CON. If you're going PvE, you'll often find sometimes people prioritize STR over DEX which is fine because you'll deal more damage. If you're going PvP and you have more STR than DEX, all I will say is lol.
Stat Distribution starting off should be 1 STR : 1 CON : 2 DEX for easy leveling.
For PvE, Once you have anywhere from 26-30 points in CON (Fairly Flexible - More CON = More Health = More Survivability. Less CON = More STR or DEX = More Damage/Evasion), put points in 2 STR : 3 DEX until you reach 74 STR. Then, dump all your points into DEX.
You will get extra bonus points throughout the game. I recommend putting these into STR if you already have a lot of DEX.
LINK to possible End game stats (without extra points):
http://www.tosbase.com/tools/stat-calculator/build/z7hkoipvv5/ = 74 STR : 30 CON : 175 DEX
With extra points, you'll have upwards of 94 STR because there are atleast 20 free stat points.
For PvP, CON should be higher at around 40-50 if you don't want to get bursted down by an invisible rogue or something silly.

If you have any questions or would like me to propose an alternate build specifically for your playstyle, feel free to ask me in the comments section below!
I want to preface this guide by saying that in there really is no right or wrong build and no right or wrong skill distribution. With that being said, many guides you will read are very specific in its build path because specialized build paths are VERY GOOD at what they aim to do. Generalized build paths also work but they're limited to being "Jack of all traits, King of none". With Shinobi class especially, it is very important that your build is specialized to your playstyle. Do NOT go one of defensive classes if you plan on doing PvP. You have been warned.
The Shinobi class's play-style is very typical to that of a combat ninja; the motto is pretty much "KITE" and if you have to, "Get In & Get Out". Remember, ninjas are NOT warriors; they are mostly some type of ASSASSIN. DO NOT try to play a Shinobi like a warrior or you will almost definitely end up getting your ___ handed to you especially in PvP and GvG. If you want to play someone who can 1v1, look up a fencer build; If you want to be a true assassin, look up a rogue build; if you want to be tank, look up a warrior class that utilizes shields. Because a Shinobi is NONE of those.

Swordsman c3 will make you vulnerable but this doesn't mean you will straight up die in a fight. It's all situational and is largely based on skill; Knowledge is half the battle.
For instance, in PvP or GvG, if you have dedicated team member(s) who can effectively draw aggro and hard cc (Tank) and team member(s) who can deal tons of aoe/target damage (Archer/Mage), the enemy team is not going to target you because you will most likely be running around throwing Kunais and occasionally escape with Mokuton & Katon no Jutsu (Don't expose yourself and how much damage you will do, obviously). When you notice that a squishy enemy team member (Mages/some Archers/some Clerics) is isolated with most of their skills on CD, disable them(if you have a hard cc), bleed them (if possible), and use double slash twice with Bunshin no Jutsu and they will die - no questions. Then use Mokuton/Katon no Jutsu and escape. The potential with Swordsman c3 is the insane burst damage that they can do.
Highlander: The primary synergy skill is Crosscut which is a high chance to bleed and is much better than Thrust (with Bleed attribute). if not @kappa please update
what do u mean? its not good to get corsair?
hello kappa what do you think of this build :D
1) Suit whether stats for PvP: 80 str 40 con 160 dex (pure nested stats)?
2) What type of armor is best for PVP: leather or plate?
3) Ignore whether critical hits dodge? (As in Ragnarok 1)

What do I have to do now :( ?
Since for PvP it is better taking Swordsman C3, i guess that for PvE and fun purpose it is better taking Peltasta C1 instead of Swordsman C2.
But take in mind that this build is focused on Dual Weapon Wielding, because you can't use Corsair Skills with a Shield. Another observation is that if you join in a party as tanker you will not use Bunshin no Jutsu. :D
"For PvE, Once you have anywhere from 26-30 points in CON (Fairly Flexible - More CON = More Health = More Survivability. Less CON = More STR or DEX = More Damage/Evasion), put points in 2 STR : 3 DEX until you reach 74 STR. Then, dump all your points into DEX. "
the phrase "anywhere from 26-30 points in CON" and "until you reach 74 STR" are the stat points used to invest or the numbers show on the overall stats?
If you're looking for Sw DPS build the same way as this except doppler class 7
feel free to comment <3
