Introduction

First of all , This class build for both PVP and PVE with many skill to encounter the different situations and not focus on PVE or PVP too much ,it ok with PVE and PVP.This build is like a duck who can fly but not best as bird,can swim but not best as fish. Skill
Swift Step : MAX - for late game use and also there is attribute +crit rate
Multi Shot : MAX - for early game use to fight boss and multi shot is AOE skill so if you have AOE attack ratio it will included
Full Draw : MAX - for easy boss targeting especially if there are a lot of mobs

Attribute
One-handed Bow Mastery : Ignore Defense : MAX - total Ignores 25% of an enemy's defense
Multi Shot : Critical : MAX - total Increases the critical chance of [Multi Shot] by 7.5%
Full Draw: Increased Knockback : MAX - total Increases the knockback by 50 per attribute

Suggested Card:


Suggested card would be Glass Mole Card. Each will give you +10% additional damage when using SP potion and this build will deal a whole lot of burst damage with Glass Mole Cards. Bring small sp potion for that extra burst in damage. :3



You may use Ellaganos card for extra +DEX in case you wish to additional block penetration.




You may also opt for Blut card for that extra +CON if you went for the "Patient Hunter 9: Rail Rifle Build" to be less squishy.



If you are having problems with Magic user classes then of course you may use Nuaele card for that boost in MDEF.

Battle Tactics


Here we shall learn the battle tactics of a Musketeer. Remember these basics and you'll be feared in the battlefield.

Musketeer Battle Tactics
1. Use your Musket as primary weapon.
2. Aggressive-Defense Stance (Basic Combo):
Butt Stroke > Snipe > Volley Shot OR
Snipe > Headshot > Volley Shot > Penetration Shot.
3. Support Stance:
Covering Fire > Penetrating Shot > Volley Fire > Penetrating Shot.
4. Passive Aggressive Stance (Use only if you have tanker/interceptor, or if you're crazy enough)
Butt Stroke > Penetrating Shot OR
Butt Stroke > Covering Fire > Penetrating Shot > Snipe > Volley Fire
5. Remember to use "Cloaking" to relocate if position is compromised.
6. Feel free to use "Scatter Caltrops" for added protection.
7. Use "Deploy Pavise" to protect from ranged projectiles (missiles/bullets).
8. Use "Stone Shot" if enemy gets too close for comfort. Be sure to carry a lot of "stone bullets" before going to battle.
9. Make sure to use "Swift Step" for the evasion and critical rate.
10. Use "Kneeling Shot" only if you have tankers/interceptor.

Boss Hunting Guide
Remember that Musketeers can dish out a whole lot of pain to boss monsters. Here is the basic tactic in fighting bosses:
1. Cloak > Swift Step > Snipe > Headshot > Volley Shot > Penetration Shot > Covering Fire (Basic Combo):
2. Scatter Caltrops > Running Shot > Kneeling Shot (Basic Combo):
3. Lather. Rinse. Repeat. >:3

Class change Guide

Should I put SPR to get more SP and SP regen rate?
Ans- This is debatable to be honest. It might be waste to put SPR on Musketeer build because you can simply use SPR providing gear to compensate. Goal of Musketeer build is to kill as enemies ASAP thus I would suggest getting gear giving you more mana (regen) or simply bringing a lot of pots.

Is is possible to get "Flu Flu lvl5" instead of "Camouflage lvl5"?
Ans- Yes it may BUT you lower your survivability a bit. I suggest keeping Camouflage for PvE and certain PvP instances.

Is Appraiser viable class for this build?
Ans- Yes you may get Appraiser to replace Scout. This however will make you a bit more support type. Suggested skills: Overestimate (lvl3), Forgery (lvl2), Devaluation (lvl5), Blindside (lvl5).

can i change scout to falconer, is that still good enough?
Ans - It good for PVE but for PVP Im not sure about it . Use Circling then Hovering will clear mob fast and Hanging Shot maybe can dodge player skill in PVP
circling will decrease aoe defense ratio of mob and that will make single target skill be aoe skill so if you use circling then use snipe , snipe will be hit all mob in aoe range and YEAH falconer has hanging shot which is cooler than mount on hologan LOL

sorry I never play fal before so I dont know much about it

what about ar1 qs3 flet2 musk1 ? would work?
Ans - NO QS is about normal attack but Fletcher is about spam skill so if you want to play fletcher I recommend ar1 ranger3 flet3 because ranger has steady aim which is +20% missile damage

do you think a wagushi instead of scout will be good? having poisons on opponents with your dps?
what do you think of the pros and cons?

Ans - I recommend wugushi c1-c3 invest only c1 is useless and wugushi build it depend on STR and CON no need Dex becasue poison damage calculate from Str(highSTR=highPoison damage)so I dont recommend to go wugushi

Can i ask if taking archer 3 will significantly increase single target damage for pve?
Ans - yes but it may be less than scout c1 becasue Archer c3 kneeling shot improve a little damage in the other hand scout c1 give 50% p atk

sup. i can change to Arch>QS1-2-3>scout>Arch>muske?
Ans - yes you can but it will difficult to leveling . after lv.120+ you will need kneeling shot and swift step to do damage in dungeon and mission (kneeling +around 60% damage from running shot and 1.5 multiplier attack speed plus swift step +25% crit rate)

Would you make some class modification if the plan was to go full PVE? Maybe change Scout to Rogue?
Ans - No rouge whatever PVP or PVE
As ChokoEric mentioned "tons worse in PVE for a little improve in PVP, at least for me is not worth it"
if you go rouge that mean you have to karacha set and you will have to put more CON because you lose evasion on karacha set compare damage between karacha set and didel with manamana yeah you gain some damage when hit their back but in PVP it difficult to hit their back and if you can't hit their back that mean you have some trouble compare to didel you can go freely and do certain damage . So it just about mobility high damage+less mobility+less survival(rouge) or lower damage with+high mobility+more survival(rouge).
furthermore status for rouge is Str and Con NO Dex so you will ruin your build if you go rouge c1
If you want Full pve then go Archer1-Ranger3-Fletcher3
but if you want some pve go falconer instead of scout

people say ranger 3 is better than quarrel with muskeeter, what u think?
Ans - yep they better than QS only PVE

About the Archer

First of all I heard that there are some hidden combo in Archer class [Full Draw + Oblique Shot] : use Full Draw for attached 2 mob then use Oblique Shot , it will be bounce each other , WHATEVER I DO NOT CONFIRM THIS COMBo must try first

Critical Rate (CRTHR)
Critical rate is used to determine the chance of an attack doing critical damage. After the "Balance Patch 2017", it is no longer determined by DEX but it may be assumed that the bonus is retained for archer class: CRTHR= (Level / 5)






(After Balance Patch) Bow/Crossbow & Musket
Bow/Crossbow to Cloth = +12.5% Damage
Bow/Crossbow to Leather = +12.5% Damage
Musket to Cloth = +12.5% Damage

Have a Musk myself now and tested a few skill set via reset.
If you wanna focus PvP, sure, take Headshot and Snipe. But I highly disagree with Volleyfire at any point. Instead you better spend your points into Covering Fire and leave VF just at lvl 1.
CF has a good dmg boost per lvl and VF also has a big problem to trigger at the right target which often ends up in shooting in direction you didnt really want to.

@pecoray If you are planning full pve then I would suggest taking Bullet Marker instead of Musketeer. Musketeer is made for single target damager pvp. In addition to that, the Falconer is best mixed with AOE skills which QS and Musketeer lack.

If you are going to try out full pve then I would suggest using my White Death guide or simply switching to Bullet Marker. I hope that helped! :3

@Skarhabek Nah, I'd still stick with Musketeer. It still has one of the best single target DPS. It would be nice to just create another char for the Bullet Market which may be best character class for ET. :D

Last time I played, it was around Nov 2016. Just played again yesterday and notice my musketeer (A2-QS3-Falc1-Musk2) is getting weaker. Then I noticed that all the attributes are resetted, lol. Then after checking this guide it seems like covering fire is not as good as it used to be. Because I remember last year covering fire is better than volleyfire. Are there any changes to musketeer mechanic beside this? My build is also kinda messed up now, I don't crit as often as I used to be. My snipe used to always crit.

Should've log in last time there was a rank reset. Hope there will be another one next time.

Oh yeah, I haven't reach lvl 280 and beyond. Is auto attack with running shot still good on those level?

@Gilnox AA is better compared from before skill revamp because now every skill scale with %. but of course, not that awesome compared to those doppel.

my build refered to your build, except i changed Falconer C1 instead of Scout and it work well! (im just PvE with friends for fun, not PvP)
my build was Sap3 Fal1 then Musketeer, rifle with falconer costume is cutie~

@Shigeyama I personally prefer Patient Hunter 7 because it is less squishy. The Rail Rifle build is more for players who wish to live dangerously since you'll be squishy with the build but it is a decent build if you have enough gear to provide you with critical rate. :)

@NotATomato I would suggest that before but I'd say stick with full Volley Fire since they made it AOE 5. Cover Fire level 2 is fine at the moment.

Now in regards to Covering Fire VS Volley Fire, I would lean towards Volley Fire. Let me explain why.

Covering Fire will be less effective against massive number of mobs since targets will be damaged on a per hit basis which means targets may be hit how many targets are in the vicinity of the attack. Volley Fire is more deadly in this sense since you are guaranteed 5 targets in the area being hit by 427% (x4) damage. Only time Covering Fire may outdamage Volley Fire is if there is one target in the vicinity (i.e. boss hunting).

On your rank build, I'd say it's alright to forgo Scout C1 for Falconer C1. I am however unsure if Falconer C1 is going to be effective alone but I guess you may use the Circling skill to assist in AOE capability. I hope to hear from you how it went based on your experience.

@jasonyoong1 Going Ranger 3 will make your build more PvE. On that note also you'll forgo the defensive capacity provided by Quarrel Shooter if you go this build.

I would also not recommend Ranger Circle 3 with Musketeer. If you wish Ranger Circle 3 then I would suggest taking Fletcher, Schwarzer Reiter, Falconer, and/or Mergen path instead of going Musketeer. Only plausible replacement for Quarrel Shooter Circle 3 is Sapper Circle 3.

@jasonyoong1 You will need CON if you wish to do PvP since you'll easily die if you don't have any. I personally use the "Barrett .50 Cal build" so I don't feel so squishy.

And to answer your other question, yes the primary builds listed above is good in boss and PvP. Though at the moment I see less people using the "Assault Cannon build" with their preference more on the "Rail Rifle build".

@raffa8486 I have a private build which looks similar to your build. If you are going for a "White Death" variant then I would suggest simply switching Scout with Falconer and go full Sapper C3. So with this your build is going to be:

Archer C1 > Sapper C3 > Archer C2 > Falconer C1 > Musketeer C2

You will have better PvE capacity but it will not ensure you're the best in DG or ET. Sapper traps (especially the Broom Trap) will give your more PvE capacity and your Falconer skills will also help you deal more damage PvE wise. Oh and the link for the "White Death" build at the bottom of guide.

on the build Barrett .50 Cal Build is it ok to lessen the CON to like 50 or 60 and add the rest to str can you still survive with that?

@jakeedge04 Yes that is possible. Having 50 to 60 CON will ensure you to have around roughly 27k HP. It is still survivable in PvE but a little harder in PvP. It will all depend on your sharp eye and fast reflexes since the goal of this build is to keep enemies at bay. Always get ready to use Cloaking for necessary tactical retreats.

@jakeedge04 Same for White Death build. You will be capable of PvE and PvP but it will be a bit harder. :)

The Patient Sniper build focuses more on PvP as the QS + Scout skills ensure your survival. This build is more potent even against fellow ranged fighters because of Deploy Pavise skill. You're able to kill them from afar behind a safety wall. Only problem with this build is how hard it is to use this in Earth Tower.

White Death build is more a tactical build as you use your traps to defend from enemies. In some cases you may lure enemies to their demise by luring them to concealed Punji Stake or Claymore so use traps to your advantage. This build will be a bit harder to grind but it is more favorable in Earth Tower than Patient Sniper build.

@rawrness13 well some of my friends saw this build and when they saw the con stat for the char i used they started to question my life choices lol they keep saying con is a trash stat but i kinda like not dieying the moment an enemy so much as sneezes at my direction... i kinda wonder why do they say con is a trash stat thou?

@jakeedge04 Well people believe right now in what is called glass cannon builds. They think they can 1-hit everyone. In reality, placing all on STR stat does not make you a 1-hit killer. It will all still depend on your gear (i.e. how powerful, upgraded, and transmuted your weapon is). This is why there is the so called "Rail Rifle build" which is basically the glass cannon build for the Musketeer class. This one is famous right now.

I however felt way too squishy even if I had decent plate armor when I used the "Rail Rifle build". I felt the need to put CON so I don't feel that squishy. I personally prefer the "Barrett .50 Cal" build because I can kill at will but I am not easily killed in battle.

In the end, it is all about preference. Plus there is a planned balancing in damage in the near future (as seen in a test video posted from Korean Test Server which sadly enough I no longer have a link) and people will realize the need for CON then because it will not be as easy as it is right now. >;3

Hi guys!

As per request, I have created a guide for the variant of the "Patient Sniper" build: The White Death. This build will replace Quarrel Shooter with Sapper thus rank build shall be: Archer2 > Sapper3 > Scout1 > Musketeer2.

Hi guys!

I decided to add "Bird Fall" to further boost PvP capability of this build. Everyone hates those floating Mages and their counterparts so SHOOT THEM DOWN! LOL
