This is a private build.

This build is outdated as of the rebalance patch! I recommend cryo3ele instead.

Rune of justice buff is here for iToS! Unfortunately the rune of giant buff sucks. It only affects wizard1-3 and runecaster skills. You can skip maxing it for rune of destruction if you want.
This is essentially a one trick character with high burst damage from quick cast att + ice wall + pp + rune of ice. If you are looking for some extreme burst then you have come to the right place. This build is purely for fun and will not work at all for ET. This guide will include gearing and my thought process behind this build. If you have any questions feel free to comment below. I have currently discontinued this character in favor of a high burst ice blast cryomancer but that is an experimental build and i recommend cryo3chrono3RC instead. http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/42f2f0f1pk/. With that being said, here are the pros and cons.
Pros:
- High single target burst damage. It was the strongest burst in the game but rod3>shinobi>murmillo is now stronger
- Clear bosses in dungeons and missions quickly
- Can contest for boss cubes from world boss/field boss once you reach RC
- Rune caster costume
Cons:
- Low sustained damage before warlock
- Long cool down (1min for ice wall, 3min for rune of ice)
- Requires set-up
- Bad on mobile bosses since damage dependent on one combo, which can be missed
- Dependent on one combo
- People can mess up your combo. Quarrel shooters can kick down your wall
- Requires heavy investment in Int
- Low aoe until you reach rank 7
Why this path exactly?
All of the classes are chosen so that the Ice Wall + Psychic Pressure combo is maximized. Warlock is added to fill in the gap and damage when your combo is on cooldown
- Cryo + Kino: Cryomancer and psychokino are taken so that we have access to the ice wall + Psychic Pressure(pp) combo. This is the bread and butter of this build. The combo is basically casting ice wall and then using PP afterwards. The ice wall will shoot shards from each tile hit from PP. Each shard can hit 3 times for a total of 300% of your magic atk, The combo is demonstrated in the gif in the beginning.
- Wizard C2/C3: Wizard C2 is taken for Surespell to ensure that PP does not get easily canceled. Keep in mind that if you get stunned/sleep/knocked back then PP will get canceled. It is mostly taken just to get to wizard C3. Wizard C3 is taken for quick cast to speed up channeling rune caster's skills. As a bonus we also get magic missiles and quick cast attribute (adds 50% of magic atk to everything).
- Rune Caster: Taken specifically for "Rune of Ice". This skill multiplies all cryomancer and most ice skills by 300%. This means our combo will destroy everything. You also get "Rune of Destruction" which is a skill very similar to elementalist's meteor.
- Warlock C1: Well rounded class that will fill in the gap of this build while the combo is on CD. Dark theurge is very strong. Make sure you max this first.
- Warlock C2: Despite the dislike for warlock2 by many people since you don't get any new useful skills it is actually still strong. Warlock2 makes dt stronger, makes "Pole of Agony (PoA)" stronger, and mastema becomes a useful skill. Mastema has a new attribute called Phantom Pain that makes it into a DoT.
Other possible paths for rank 7
- Cryomancer C2: I originally planned to make this my rank 7 which would lead to rank 8 Cryo C3.This would yield the strongest ice wall + pp combo due to higher durability ice wall. Going this route would mean you have nothing for damage outside of the combo which is why i swapped Rank 7 to warlock. At rank 8 you get frost pillar a very useful and highly sought after monster vacuum skill. In my opinion this is the second best alternative, but you will only be able to boss hunt if you take cryo2. This will roughly make your burst 50%~60% stronger at rank 7. Honestly I've thought long and hard about Cryo2 vs warlock. By my calculation, a warlock with 1k mdmg would have to do about 370k damage per minute with their skills to match cryo2's damage increase.
- Pyromancer C1: This is taken at rank 2 or 3 and would delay rune caster to rank 7. This would make this build into the "Build of Kings." Before agny necklace, pyro 1 was a terrible choice that just added a flashier and weak aoe around you when you combo'd. It also takes longer to pull off the combo since you have to cast 2 fireballs. With the addition of agny necklace, this is not that bad anymore. Fireballs are pretty much permanently on a 450% buff with agny necklace. Take sage R8 if you take this and I recommend you follow Little Samson's guide.
There aren't actually many options for rank 7 for this build. Its either cryo or pyro. Kino2 into kino3 rank8 would take too long to get kino3. Thaum1 to thaum2 could work as well, but cryo would provide more damage.
Other possible paths for rank 8
- Cryomancer C3: If you went cryomancer c2 then this is definitely where you need to go for c3. You get frost pillar, snow rolling, more hp on your ice wall. This is the strongest ice wall + pp combo.
- Sage: This is more of a support pick. Offensively it does not do much. Missile hole is great but since this is a dps build I opted for warlock 2 instead. Also duplicated ice wall does not shoot shards. I would get this build if this was a cryo3 build but there isn't anything to duplicate with this build. If you really want sage its not that bad.
Stats:
As of rank8 update, stat has changed. Int is not as important anymore. The important part is getting a practonium weapon and transcending it. 50 con is fine, but a dead dps does less dps than one that is alive. Put 100 con if you intend to use a staff end game. The reason for maximizing your int is because icewall + pp combo is based off the caster's magic atk. So with the combo your magic atk will be multiplied over 9x from ice wall + rune of ice + quick cast . .
Attributes: :
Make sure you upgrade your attributes. Listed from Most important to somewhat important.
1. Quick cast: Magic Damage. Applies +50% magic damage to everything. Must Max. Note it is +50% not *1.5
2. Plate Mastery: Defense. Gives you more HP
3. Dark Theurge: Enhance. Really strong skill when you have a high lv attribute.
4. Magic Missiles: Enhance. More damage to your main AOE skill.
5. Mastema Phantom Pain: Makes mastema into a dot and a good dps skill.
6. Ice Pike: Enhance. This skill actually does a lot of damage on large monsters with Rune of Ice
Equipments:
Always use plate armor + cloth gloves. You will need it for the defense and hp from plate mastery.
Lv 15~70: Use cafrisun set to help leveling. Make sure you grab sacrament from a pardoner too
lv 70+ : Use any plate armor + cloth gloves. You will start needing plate armor to survive if you are low con. Cloth gloves are for the magic amp.
Lv 170~219: Roxona plate armor + roxona cloth glove. Optional set if you want more defense.
Lv220+ : Grynas plate armor + Grynas cloth gloves. Easy and cheap to get
Lv 240+ : Virtov plate armor + Virtov cloth gloves
Weapons:
You will need to swap weapons for maximum efficiency.
-First weapons set (Utility):
You want to use this set when you are drawing your ice wall. Swap to the damage set after the wall is drawn. The reason being is because these rod/staff increases ice wall's level. Ice wall's durability depends on the level of the skill. In short more durability means your ice wall can take more damage. This means you can use PP longer on the wall as well as draw a bigger wall. Every level into ice wall gives 2 additional durability.
Lv40~169 : Ice rod + any shield. Ice rod gives +1 skill level to all cryomancer skills.
Lv170 to forever: Audra. Audra is an upgrade to ice rod since it gives +2 skill levels.
Humming bird gem: +1 ice wall level. Optional but boosts damage a lot. If you do decide to hunt for one. Only put it on an audra, this gem will be permanently used for this character. If you do plan to hunt for this gem make sure you read about the DPK (drop per kill) system.
-Second weapons set (damage):
-Main weapon
Lv 40~240 : Five hammer with 5 lv4~6 red or blue gems.
Lv 315+: Heart of glory or Regard Horn pike are the best choices. If you don't have 2 practoniums then windia rod works as well.
-Secondary Weapon
For the most part you will be using an Arde dagger. Karacha and venom are a luxury. Ledas shield is an option for more defense while keeping most of the offensive stats.
Lv 75+: Arde dagger for fire property +153. Drops from 90 dungeon.
Lv 120+: Ledas shield for defensive stat and ice property + 102. Drops from 115 dungeon.
Lv 170+: Karacha Dagger (optional). Slightly more stats than arde dagger.
Lv 170+: Small crystaras, New dagger from hunting ground. Best dagger out so far.
Lv 217+ : Otrava shield. This shield is slightly stronger defensively and offensively than ledas. If you already got a ledas then I wouldn't stress to get this shield.
Lv 315+: Lionhead shield, Emengard shield. Best for defensive option. Highly recommended instead of a dagger if you transcended a 315 orange/purple weapon.
Accessories:
Lv 1~169: Use any bracelet
Lv 170+: Wizard bracelet. Pretty much end game bracelet.
Lv 240+ : Archmage bangle. Recipe drops from Saalus Convent Mission and costs a billion bucks to make.
Necklace:
The most well rounded necklace is animus but max petamion and agny aren't bad either.
Animus price has died down due to agny being outright more offensive than animus without much investment but i still recommend animus for the magic defense. Animus eventually beats out agny if you get enough hp recovery awakening on your equipment.
Max petamion is the weakest out of the three necklace, but its the most versatile. Its not a bad choice either
Necklace of Deceit is free from a quest around lv 125. If you aren't using your dungeon runs for exp then i highly suggest 130 rush if you do not have a petamion.
-Magic Talisman
-Necklace of Deceit
-Max Petamion Lv 170 / Petamion Lv 120
-Agny necklace. 200 fire property. Best offensive necklace but you lose out on all m.def
- Animus, Potentially better than agny if you get hp recovery awakening on your equipment. Unlike agny, you get mdef.
Hair costume
Prioritize stats in this order:
Magic atk/ HP > dark property > any elemental property > phys or magic defense >magic amp > others
Gems
Gems are more of a late game thing. I would not bother with this until at least 170+ (roxona at the least) with exception of five hammer. Put yellow HP gems on your permanent or long lasting top/bottom. Put blue mdef gems on shoes. Also for your Audra you want a Hummingbird monster gem. It gives +1 ice wall level.
Tips on maximizing Ice wall
Keep note of the way my character is facing. Drawing the ice wall is dependent of where you are facing. Such as pressing the up arrow key will always create a tile in the direction your character is facing
Level 7 Ice wall is a little bit harder to do since you have to face diagonal from the boss. The ice wall is formed so that the boss is on the right side of my character in the GIF. There are other ways to maximize the 8 tiles from ice wall but they are harder to do. This way is simple since you are basically making a box. Also for level 7 ice wall, you need to walk towards the ice wall a little bit to hit all the tiles.

Cards
Hands down, Chapparition card is the best card for this build. This build benefits the most out of all builds from the card. The chapparition card gets multiplied further by rune of ice, quick cast, and most of your dps comes out in 4-6 seconds. Stack 7 of them!
Combo:
Audra >surespell > quick cast > rune of ice > invocation > cast ice wall > quick cast > swap to damage weapons > eat sp potion > psychic pressure until wall breaks > evil sacrifice > warlock skills/ice pike/ ice bolt
Burst combo calculations
This formula calculates the rough amount of damage of the complete combo. There is more to it of course because of resist and defense but this will give you a general idea
((matk+ .5amp)(3*(ice wall lv +1)*3 +.5) + ele*3)(2(ice wall Lvl)+ 2)
Extra notes
- Quick cast attribute does not get multiplied by Rune of ice.
- Ice property attack (ledas) does not get multiplied by Rune of Ice.
- Ice wall's shard damage is always based off the ice wall caster's magic damage
- Originally I planned this build to be cryo2-> cryo 3 rank 7/8 but I changed my mind
- Ice wall shards shoot in the direction of the person that casted it. Not in the direction of the person that striked it.
- I play on Orsha server. Team name "Resource"

If you want pvp just do Cryo3Kino3RC (sage better for pvp)
There are just better options now. Other skills got buffed while the iw + psychic pressure didnt get buffed so it fell off
Nope, I am closing down this build in favor of a cryo3ele3
http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/tirabici3r/
Cryo3ele3 is different. I wouldn't say its better at bossing but it has a ton of aoe. Its decent against bosses that don't move fast. Its a build for people who want an ice and lightning theme'd character.
Elementalist damage got distributed between all their skills now. The most notable one is electrocute getting a huge buff. Electrocute combos extremely well with cryomancer. Cryomancer passive gives electric skill 50% more damage if the enemy is frozen. Also electrocute has its own buff where mobs that are frozen by cryo skills increase electrocute's damage by 100%. Its extremely strong against mobs but unfortunately this doesn't work on bosses.
Freezing sphere got buffed as well. The damage is pretty good. Anoter noticeable buff is hail it does a lot of damage on large bosses.
Unfortunately about this build though is that you need rank 8 wizard2 for surespell. Especially at boss fights, Freezing enemies aren't reliable enough for casting elementalist skills.
Forgot to mention that you can use rain + ice wall + electrocute combo on bosses now. The more enemies electrocute hits, the stronger it is. Hence the use for ice wall as "enemies"
There isn't enough information yet. Also they are providing rank resets when the big update comes so I'm waiting till then to test stuff
i was wondering what if we take sage at r8?
Sage does work but as of R8 sage is more of a utility pick. Warlock brings in way more damage as lv 10 dt is strong, mastema becomes useful, pole lasts for 5 seconds longer. In addition rune of justice will combo with mastema (requires warlock 2) soon when it becomes holy damage.
Nah, its just for bosses. I mean it technically can farm with warlock2 for lv 8 invocation but it really isn't made for farming.
Drop wiz2 as well if you don't want to go wiz3. Surespell won't save you that much from psychic pressure getting canceled. That works as well but warlock2 is stronger for bosses especially with the upcoming rune of justice buff. You can always go wiz3>cryo>kino>rc> cryo2>cryo3 if you want a pure ice wall combo
And WL 2 maybe can be other choose because we have the IW + PP combo which is enough against bosses no?
I understand about the wiz2 part but it will not help you much. Knockbacks will stop your pp channeling. Also ktos has a kino buff that pretty much gives you surespell when you cast pp. The main reason this build has wizard3 is so that ice wall combo is strong even without rune of ice.
Icewall combo is not enough late game unfortunately. The warlock part will probably make up 1/3 or 1/2 of your damage and give you skills to cast while your combo is down. Pole of agony, mastema, dt is a lot of bossing damage. When the runecaster buff comes for rune of justice (makes it holy) you will have another nuke from mastema (converts enemy to devil) + rune of justice (holy damage doubled from mastema). The rune of justice combo only comes if you have warlock2.
If you don't want wiz3 you can go...
wiz > cryo3>chrono3> rune caster. Pretty much a support with big burst with ice blast, but you need rank8 to start bursting, chapparition cards, and a high lv ice blast attribute. Stop the boss -> cast rune of ice -> set up ice wall -> stop wears off -> ice blast 3x > pass > ice blast 3x. This build only really works because it has the cryochrono support and stop. Stop will allow you to channel rune of ice + your combo once on a boss. Heres an example of the rune of ice + chapp + ice blast + ice wall combo. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjcjgenzyGU
wiz > cryo3 > kino > runecaster > warlock 2. This is probably the strongest ice wall + pp combo if you can manage to channel everything. The reason the build has wiz3 is because it makes channeling runes + ice wall much easier. In addition they also blow their combo much faster than a cryo3 build. Its really hard for this build to pull off its whole combo but if it does then its really strong. Keep in mind that the ice wall combo is much weaker than the wiz3 version when rune of ice is down.
and why you don't choose sage on this builds?
I just wrote up about this build. wiz3>cryo3>rc is NOT good. Cryo3>chrono3>RC (rank8) is much stronger than that build. The video is there just to demonstrate the ice wall + ice blast + rune of ice combo. Wiz 3 does not help the damage much. Please read the link below about the build
http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/42f2f0f1pk/
1.WL2, this is strong and provide me some good option when IW combo is down, but many say without QC WL2 is so crap and don't deal enought damage.
2.PyroC1>sage, blink give me good options to cast IW and some skills, and with agny neck and MD i can have 4 fireballs to deal damage.
3.WL>sage, it's the combination of this 2 but some say that is not better as pyro one.
thank you if you can help me I would appreciate it very much.
You are missing a rank6. Imma just assume thats rune caster. wiz>cryo3>kino>rc > ? > ?.
1. WL 2 without quick cast is decent. Quickcast makes it from decent to great since warlock2 has a lot of multi hit. You are just sticking warlock2 to the end of the build with no real synergy. The reason I picked warlock2 for my build is because quickcast + wl2 is great. Unfortunately your build won't be able to do the rune of justice + mastema combo due to the long cast time on RC's skills. Strongest solo and highest damage of the three builds.
2. Don't do this. wiz3>cryo>kino>pyro>rc>sage works but you have cryo3. The main issue is that psychic pressure has a hit limit of 9 and so your wall will consume it all. Theres no room for pyro in your build. Take build 3 instead if you insist on getting sage. anything else is better than pyro for your build.
3. Weakest damage wise between build 1 & 2 builds. You get missile hole but lose out on your rank8. You also get to duplicate frost pillar so this is more of a support build but its not even that strong of a support. Half support, half dps. Doesn't excel at any of the jobs. Weakest solo/damage.
Oops typo
3. Weakest damage wise between build 1 & 3. Don't go build 2.
Warlock2 overall is a solid solo class. The cd is a bit long but the damage comes out easily. Besides that, sage is a support pick so yeah... more damage helps you with soloing.
Just changed the build. Go warlock 2 and get rune of justice instead of rune of destruction. When the rune caster buff comes you will have a mastema(turns enemy into devil) + rune of justice (holy element) combo
You can but rune of giant is getting buffed as well. Lower cd and you will be allowed to use ALL of your skills
