Thank you for taking the time to read my build guide, If you like the build please Like above.
-------------------------------------------
The stats are pretty self explanatory STR for increased base damage, DEX for crit and CON to survive however how much CON you put in is entirely down to the player. Personally I would put around 30 in it to start with and see how you are from there, if you die a lot put a little more in.
-------------------------------------------
http://www.tosbase.com/tools/stat-calculator/build/op1fhbh09x/ - 280 STR:DEX
http://www.tosbase.com/tools/stat-calculator/build/8svuso2w50/ - 280 DEX:STR
Difference:
Physical Attack: 598 - 419 = 179 (STR Comes out on top)
Accuracy: 509 - 626 = 117 (DEX Comes out on top)
Critical Attack Damage: 318 - 139 = 179 (STR Comes out on top)
Critical Rate: 214 - 331 = 117 (DEX Comes out on top)
Evasion: 473 - 590 = 117 (DEX Comes out on top)
So the difference between STR vs DEX, as STR you will have way more physical attack, critical attack damage, over accuracy which isnt an issue, critical rate which can be improved with gems & evasion which is improved by Swift Step once again isn't an issue because if you can kite effectively you won't be getting hit by physical attacks anyway & you can't mitigate magic attacks.
DEX will come ahead late game 250+ by only a slight amount, as the build is aimed at beginners and not min/maxing then it won't matter late game you will still be incredibly effective!

Remember to always roast your gems at an alchemist to remove the negative effects of them, I will tell you what gems you need bare in mind the stats I've listed are only level one you will need to level these to max.
Weapon - Green Gem (Critical Rate +2, Critical attack -1) (Level 1)

These gems are accessible to everyone, we take HP to save us taking too much CON later & SP Blue Gem in pants to save us putting any points in SPR
-------------------------------------------
These are in no particular order, you decide which is priority for you
Archer:
Leather Mastery: Dex
Increased Maximum Buff Count
Swift Step: Including Party Members
Two Handed Bow Mastery: Anti Air
Full Draw: Decreased Defense
Ranger:
Barrage: Enhance
Critical Shot: Enhance
Steady Aim: Enhance
Weapon Swap: Offers you the ability to switch to Xbow & Shield
Fletcher:
Arrow Crafting
Crossfire: Burn
Divine Machine Arrow: Shock
All "Enhance" skills for the ones we have chosen
-------------------------------------------
- Fantastic AoE damage for mob clearing
- Great single target damage for boss fights
-------------------------------------------
- Need to be effective at kiting enemies as we don't build too much into CON to increase our damage further with STR/DEX
-------------------------------------------
- Are there other options rather than going C3 Fletcher - Yes there are other options are posted below
- Why only 1 point in Critical Shot - We only take 1 point in Critical Shot because this is our go to spam skill, the skill is incredibly strong with only 1 point increasing this will only increase the SP cost which we don't want if where going to use it as a spam skill
-------------------------------------------
You also have the option of going Cannoneer for your rank 7 upgrade however single target damage won't be as high but your Multi Hit damage will be through the roof, if you was to do that this is what you would select.
- 5/5 Cannon Shot
- 5/5 Shootdown
- 5/5 Cannon Blast
If you wanted to go Musketeer at rank 7 then this is what I would do:
- 5/5 Covering Fire - Good AoE skill
- 5/5 Snipe - Fantastic single target
- 5/5 - Penetration Shot - Once again great single target

i fail class ar1 Ran3 Next I should change the class how to 8 class.
But since this guide is kind of outdated, please refer to DarkNova's Critical Boss Killer instead.
Here's link : http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/6jsd8ofid9/
It's outdated, not actually a trap by builder's intention.
But yes, taking Ar2 should be a more viable choice than Ran3 for a Fle3 build.
Because nobody does really bring down this build or either Boltonsquad coming back to update this.
Its quite sad though.
@mikkotinamide
Here might be what you're looking for :
http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/6jsd8ofid9/
DarkNova's more updated Fletcher guide.
He has done a pretty good job running his guide there.
Also, it might be a good idea to up vote his guide so that one day the his updated guide will be taking place instead of Boltonsquad's.
Not really.
In certain situation where teammate can make your Crit Rate surpass 100% Crit Chance even without the aids of Swift Step, you'll deal higher damage than Ar2-Ran1-XX-Flet3 build.
But that is a very rare situation though.
So generally, Ar2-Ran1-XX path will provide you better performance while having utilities available from extra class at [XX] circle. (For example, Scout1/Wugushi1)
It is really up to your choice to decide between either re-roll or keep going.
I personally like Ar2-Ran1-Sc1 more. Female Scout looks really cute to me lol.
Oh wait, this has nothing to do with the build performance...
Anyway, since you're just Lv100-ish, you're very fine to reroll while still keep this character.
Also, I assume that you're Ar1-Ran3, right?
You can change your path midway into something like :
Ar1 > Ran3 > Ar2/Rogue1 > SR1/FAL1/SC1 > SR2/MSK1/CAN1
Since late game classes such as SR , MSK , and CAN will have enough circle for having both crit enhancement sub-class and 3 Circle of Ranger, you'll still be very fine with the Ran3 path too.
The real issue that make Ran3 doesn't very appealing to Fletcher is the fact that Fletcher start at Rank5 and will not have enough circle for you to have many sub classes if you choose Ran3 path.
Oh wait... you're already Ar1>Ran3>Fle1...
This make things trickier.
How about Hackapell or Mergen? Do you have interested in those classes?
Something like these may work :
-Ar1>Ran3>Fle1>[Ar2/Rog1]>Fal1>Hack1
-Ar1>Ran3>Fle1>[Ar2/Rog1]>Sc1>Mer1
thnx. i think ill go with the SR then. do u have any link to a good guide for SR?
btw for me rogue is cuter.. hahaha
Well, given that you're Ar1Ran3Fle1 already.
You'll probably be Ar1Ran3Fle1SR2~3 until Rank9 arrive.
In PvE, you'll be quite suffered from the lack of Crit enhancement classes.
Meanwhile, your build will provide some easy kills in TBL with a 10sec CD Broadhead Arrow.
But in both PvE and PvP aspect of game generally, I think Ran3Fle1SR2 will be suffered even more than Ran3Fle3 build.
By the way, I just happened to run a SR guide here in Tosbase too.
Here's my guide : http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/oq3k0hklpw/
PS. Rogue is cute too. XD
Oh, I see.
Then that's good for you. :D
so should i go for SR then? i saw the guide. i think its good (ofcouse i may be wrong cause i thought this guide is good too,LOL.) and it i think it suites me cause i'm always into PVE gaming.
So, what would you like to focus at when you're at Lv280 for that character?
Farming? Doing dungeons full run solo for pure silver? (It does reward you a lot though)
Or PvP, GvG? Doing just some fun daily stuffs is good too.
Or simply available build for anything that might be fun.
I might be able to provide you some idea though.
Also, note that you'll be more likely has a new Ar-Ran-Sc-Fle to be the main Boss hunter anyway so a different role might be ideal. (Or just has this character as a sub Boss Hunter if you might hunt more than one boss per day)
yeah kinda like that. dungeons, hunting items, hunting bosses.
Not actually a noob trap though.
It is available, but just outdated.
It would be better if Ar2-----Fle3 builds has taken over this build in rating or Boltonsquad back updating this.
http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/oq3k0hklpw/
Oh, hi there!
That's my guide right there lol
Btw, for a Fletcher guide, DarkNova's new Fletcher guide is a very good one.
http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/6jsd8ofid9/
Full DEX better or Full STR better? or STR:DEX 2:1? DEX:STR 2:1??
Any recommend??
Thanks a lot and appreciate. :)
Depended on what you want to play at late game.
Fletcher C3 seemed to be a very independent choice by the way since you can enjoy many contents in this game as long as your build is available for it.
Actually, here is a more updated version of this build :
Archer C1 > Ranger C1 > Archer C2 for Crit Rate > [Anything you wanted] > Fletcher C3
It's basically Ar2-Ran1-XXX-Fle3 though, but just advanced into Ranger C1 for early Barrage and Steady Aim before complete 2nd Archer circle.
Statwise, you can have 2 setting.
-First is High Str with some decent Dex then proceed to equip tons of Crit Rate gears.
This should be viable for PvE-base though.
-The other being focused more on High Dex to stack up Evasion and Crit Rate naturally and equip Phys Atk / Crit Atk gears instead. This one will be more like hybrid build with PvP oriented.
High Str build will provide you more damage while High Dex build will provide you more survivability against Physical opponents, leaving only Magical attacks to be potential threats.
For [Anything] in forth circle of the build, you may go with one of these :
-Scout C1
-Wugushi C1
-Ranger C2
It's ok. Ran3Fle3 is still strong despite the lack of Crit Rate buff from Ar2.
But anyway, I would like to recommend that maintaining some Crit Rate from Dex should be better than not having Dex at all.
So, yeah, I think Str2:Dex1 is better that Full Str.
The only case that Full Str should be optimal is when you have Ar2 in your build and stack up Crit Rate from every single gears you have instead.
r3 f3 in action all dex
In ITOS archer 2- ranger- scout- fletcher 3 seems to be the meta but it doesnt mean that a- r3-f3-m is not good though
I'm not very sure that will he ever be back and update his build and guide or not.

@xxnamelessxx090897
@xxnamelessxx090897
I hope you don't mind me breaking into a conversation here but...
Well, actually, Barrage does have a very good scaling into late game due to the fact that it hit 5 times per overheat. (Resulting in total 15 hits for 1 cd)
But that is a melee Barrage though, in which deal a very good damage even at current latest grinding map such as Maven where mobs running around having 90k-140k HP.
At late game where you have some decent gears and around 50% attributed Barrage, you'll deal around 3,000x15 ~ 5,000x15 damage per each triple Barrage, resulting in chunking down a lot of health from late game mobs.
Meanwhile, High Anchoring will deal only 3,000x2 ~ 5,000x2 total damage there.
To be fair, I use High Anchoring too.
But what's really good point of this skill is only the fact that it has extreme range which is quite a good poke in PvP. But in PvE, spamming a Lv1 Oblique Shot + 2 Overheat Bounce Shot will do even better DPS than Lv maxed double High Anchoring.
In case if you does really need really big AoE for 10+ mobs, I would recommend Full Draw-ing 2 mobs into each other for pseudo joint penalty then proceed to fire off 2 Bounce Shot instead.
It will deal a decent damage there.
Also, Barrage knockback is kinda suited into PvP more where you would like to keep your opponent away from you instead while in PvE, relying on shotgun Barrage will deal a pretty good damage there.
First off I followed this build as I am a beginner myself, so thank you so much for the guide.
However after getting up to lvl 200+, I'd like to point out a few things before anyone follow the build.
After looking at mikkotinamide's comment and also the guide I do think A2>R2 might be the better choice, but R3 aint that bad anyway. Aside from that there are a few skills in the fletcher line that I would like to point out:
Barbed arrow: Don't get me wrong, it's a strong skill.... if you're targetting clothed armor target that is. Other than that it's Meh at best. I rarely use it unless I'm horde by a bunch of magicians or I just got lazy. If I were to skill reset I would add Bodkin point to the max since -75% Pdefence would benefit you more in the long run IMO. And you can shoot anyone with it at least. It's a nice addition for PVP too. (I think) Overall it's the worst Fletcher skill when there are better skills to add.
Crossfire: It does an OK damage if you spam it but my barrage does more damage than it so add this wisely. Plus I'm going mergen in the future so Crossfire may not be needed anymore. Who knows.
As for the rest of the fletcher skills they are more essential than this two skill so add wisely. That's all. Happy leveling ^_^
Still, add at least 1 lvl of crossfire for that extra aoe in case of skill cooldown.
how you and everyone thinking about the build below?
boardhead: lv 10
Bodkin: lv 15
barbed: 0
crossfire: lv 1
Magic : 15
Divine: 15
magic arrow 10 i meant
divine max 5 XD
Anyway yeah, I think I'd go with that. Especially with bleed 10.
Bodkin and Barbed can be juggled around depending if you want to PVE, boss or PVP. But I would still prefer bodkin.
thanks for the input, i am aware there are always different views on this. At the end of the day people need to experience the job itself to know which is better. :D
Ranger2 is honestly a weak choice, it's one of those one-or-three circle classes. You're better off going Scout instead.
I have a question, which rank 8 is the best? Mergen?
I've started playing the game a few days ago, and I want to know if your build is still legit.
I've read in the comments talking sh*t about your build and saying it's not as strong, or " is a thing of the past"
and I've wanted to hear your opinion about this
you said this build aimed for beginners... what does that mean?
is there a more efficient way to distribute the stats(that will resolve in a higher dmg in late game) not for a "beginner"?
http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/x980iv9br0/
omg wrong build. just visit the forums for better builds and more info on how to build your f3. r3>f3 sucks
and from what i've heard DarkNova has re-rolled to an A2 build.
Now my char is already ar2 ra1, lvl62 class lvl 8. My stat is now str2:dex1 with some con.
Any comments/opiniom would be appreciated, thanks
it works either way. probably comes down to preference.
@Hans simply for the +25% crit rate which scales even at higher levels. two things: (1) it allows you to put less points in dex than when you dont have A2; (2) it affects crit rate from gears so if you want to invest money for crit rate gears, you're practically getting more bang for your buck. Ranger C2 and C3 skills are nice but falls off late game especially if you want to focus on world bossing where you'd me more or less confined to spamming fletcher skills.
no. 25% crit rate gives more than +5% attack. (not damage)
read the discussions here. though you're free to follow iCBT outdated builds.

"[they] die in one attack."
uhm... people die when they are killed. i dont see the point the poinf of just having anecdotal evidence to support an argument. as far as i know, people have also been switching to A2 even in kToS and moreso when mechanics in iToS and kToS becomes more similar. the math has been done over and over. have you even the posts in the links? don't worry, R3 isn't much of a shipwreck. no need to reroll. it can still deal damage.
also, we're talking about damage and you're gonna bring up survivability? what kind of logic is that?
so going R3 gives you more survivability? lol
you're forgetting two things: (1) the 5% damage has 10 s duration and 15 second down time. while 25% crit has practically 100% uptime and (2), the 2 new skills wouldn't matter much because aside from their underwhelming damage, most of your rotation consists of fletcher skills such as broadhead- MA - xfire/barbed
you can get to crit cap with less dex via +25% crit rate buff, giving you more points for str which scales at later levels. the exact math and tests have been done in the links i've posted above.
with its cooldown, how often do you think it will be used within the duration of a world boss fight? in the long run, most of your damage would come from broadhead and magic arrow.
broadhead doesnt crit. yes. you just supported that A2 is better. you have now more points for str which gives you more damage for the bleed. i dont know why we are still arguing about this. go visit the forums and try to ask this same question.
it's like we are going back months before iToS is released and argue what is the meta for world bossing.
and you agree broadhead benefits more with an A2 build? c'mon give me something good here. you're just going in circles.
i do hope this is not just to save your ego and not feel bad for taking what most see as an outdated build.
"broadhead doesn't crit, so A2 is useless"
erm you just repeated what you said. running out of ideas?
are we going to skip to the part where you dont have anything left to say but the overly-used idiotic comment:
"mind your own business, people play to have fun"
let me guess, you haven't been to the forums have you?
So tell me, how does R3 skills even scale late game?
with a2, you can even go 2:1 or probably 3:1 and still reach crit cap if you want more damage.
uhm all this time, i've been talking about crit rate and not crit CHANCE. i guess there's no point discussing with you if you can't even distinguish between the two.
as i've mentioned over and over again, tests have been made and the math has been posted all over the forums. no use discussing matters with someone who doesn't even bother to check facts and figures.
i've given you proofs, calculations and tests. all you've given me is your opinion. i'd like to be proven wrong. go post what you think in the forums or whatever forums and see how many people agree with your "A2 sucks" idiocy.
you haven't given me any proper argument or anything that supports your claims. clearly, you dont want to be convinced despite all the evidences and proofs presented to you. this will be my last reply. we're just going in circles. just go with your r3 > f3 while we just laugh at your pre-obt outdated build
Yeap, for late game bossing A2 is one to go, to cri 100% you need 800 cri rate(cri 100% at anything, everything)
With A2, you can save up 25%(so only buy whatever equips to max out cri rate at 600), then you can start investing in Str for greater dmg(you can start invest str in early game too since you know you can cap out cri 100%)
another point from me is that you can't really get anything that boost lotsa cri rate except lvl 7 - lv10 green gem, sissel bracelet only boost 30+ cri rate, but cri att all you can easily get from khasti bow or any hair costume easily
Fyi, I am a pure dex fletcher lvl 180 with only 6k hp. how can i survive?? Boss or mobs rarely get to hit me with my evasion(pure dex), basically you will dodge most of the attack
refer to the link below, it is a very detail guide telling you why A2 is better
http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/x980iv9br0/
I wouldn't say this build is outdated, it is just building differently for different purpose, it said fantastic AOE, great single dps. It is not meant for killing boss only .
I built mine to R3, regretted a lil bit hence have to enhance green gem to get 800 cri rate(lvl280 pure dex most likely 400+ dex without any equip)
It is just the matter of choosing between cri dmg really high or or crit all the time
sorry, Im currently lvl 177 only, remembered wrongly.
currently, my max physical att is 600+, cri att 380+, cri rate 300+ (pure dex)

I think A2 would be good for the buff too.
But i don't think i would reroll to another fletch just to get A2 since R3 is also quite good for me.
