This is the best bossing murmillo build. Keep note that this build scales extremely well with gear. Do not attempt this build until you have at least a minimum of 15mil for attributes. The main attributes for murmillo will cost you around 21mil just to get started. Even then I would suggest not starting unless you got 100mil just to start off with weapon and attribute.
I have rank resetted my corsair to this and I will be updating this guide.

Rank 3 & 9 choice:
Hop1: Initially i was skeptical about taking hop1 instead of going sword3, but i an quite certain this is stronger than sword3 or pelt2. Synchro thrusting is ridiculously strong. It has a counter mechanic that doubles the damage if it procs. I am able to do cap damage with it. In addition you get finestra for more block and crit rate. As well as being able to use a 1h spear which is stronger than 1h swords/mace

Nah Muay is out! This can potentially be better than hop2 due to the strike debuff. I will not test it as i have moved to a fencer matador build.
The video above explains why hoplite 2 is better than pelt2 or murm2 in more depth. More levels into synchro is already enough to out dps pelt2 or murm2. Finestra 10 for more CR is a bonus and so is spear lunge. Spear lunge ofc buffs synchro thrusting significantly.
Stats:
Full str. Dex does nothing for this build since we dont need attack speed or block pen. Pelt,hop1, murm makes this build tanky so no need for con either.
Equipment + gems:
If you can get leather solmiki 6 or 7 then it is better than all of this.
For top/bottom/shoes/gloves you want hunting ground armor. Prioritize high str and crit rate. Additional decent stat is con,defense,dex
Top/bottom: Any armor with high str. Yellow gem.
Gloves: Swift Oghma gauntlets. Finestra gem & Shield Bash gem.
Shoes: Shooting star gem! Most important gem for this build. I'd save it for solmiki boots though. The extra slot just put blue for mdef
Accessory: Frieno necklace is BiS outside of solmiki as its a direct upgrade of max peta. Max petamion is okay too
Bracelet: 2 sissel bracelets
Weapon:
Masinios spear or a really good statted primus will work. Slap red gems into all socket for max atk. For the primus you want STR > CR > patk > dex > con. Prioritize STR/DEX as it is easy to get at least 2 of these stats.
Subshield:
-Any hunting ground shield with high str. Put red gems in all 3 socket for maximum physical attack.
Card:
Red: Glass mole x 3
Purple: 1-3 Gazing golem. If you are heading for worldboss then fill spot with biteregina card, 1 gazing , 2 bite.
Blue: 3 nuaele for max mdef
Green: 3 Netherbovine for Str
Attributes:
Listed in order of importance. Max all non damage passives except for murmillos. I recommend raising them all to 50 then increasing each one by 10 individually. Keeping all the attributes leveled out. If you want maximum burst then prioritize the cloned shinobi skills but especially shooting star, shield bash, synchro thrusting, kunai.
Just for a reference of how expensive it is, I added my current lv attr to this list.

hope you realize that this is a never ending battle for cost. I am still putting most of my money into my attributes.
Clone rotation
Kunai x2 > headbutt > high kick > Glass mole >shooting star x2 > shield bash x2 > spear lunge >synchro thrusting x2 > bash x 2-3 > headbutt >glass mole (if no pass) > Rim blow x 2 > umbo blow x2 > spear lunge >kunai x2
Wait for kunai to have 6seconds left before using the 2nd potion.
If you have pass do not use the 2nd potion for glass mole. Save it for next rotation
Sometimes the boss movement will prevent you from pulling off this fully combo. If so, skip out on bash. If you run out of even more time then skip rim blow then umbo blow
Bossing tips:
- Utilize quest warps! Finish quest but don't turn them in for every boss map. When someone in your party spots the boss then you can warp to the map right away.
- Use Lv 15 block potion. Since this build doesn't have sword3. Knockback wil be a problem at nuaele. Every other boss, your block with potion + gazing golem will usually be enough
- Find friends to support you. Having any dedicated healer is #1 is required at least. Next is any Chrono3 that will lethargy (50% debuff) and pass you. Tell them to pass after you finish your first clone rotation.
- Always stock up on stamina potions/all potions before each boss fight. Buff your weapon, Repair everything! Also have a spare TP repair kit just incase.
- If you die, soul crystal right away. Your dps will NOT reset if you just soul crystal and get back onto the boss as long as you are in a party.
- At mirtis, use slithering to avoid the broom trap. Channel for full duration then start hammering the boss after unless he broom traps again.
- Ranking is based off party dps not solo like before. The best comp is 2 chrono, 1 dedicated healer and 2 dps. 2 Chrono instead of a 3rd dps works too
- If you are confident that your party is getting rank 1 then save your clones for the last hit for the extra cube. What i do is clone around 10m hp then save debuff + shield bash. Debuff at 4m hp. Shield bash with glass mole at 2m.
- Stealthing REMOVES your dps from the boss. Taken mijin/katon off your hotbar incase you accidently press it

You can but there is almost no point. The double pierce damage debuff doesnt work on bosses unless you have ret2. If you want it just for the net(for pvp ro farming purposes) + trident then that is perfectly fine.

R9 is actually fill so it wount be a huge impact if you wanted to do it. It might even be stronger

I believe its bugged right now. Usually it drops from those stationary flower(?) mobs in catacombs mission but they aren't dropping right now. The only way to get it is from old players that have it saved it.
Hm... thats up to you really. I recommend you just drop that emengard shield for a raffy with 3 red gems. Emengard shield is for the 1mms and block. You will probably want to put a blue gem to increase the block further since it is a defensive shield now.
Murm 2 doesn't really provide as mcuh damage as hop2. Hop2 gives spear lunge, Crit rate , higher lv synchro. Murm 2 gives a speed buff and stronger headbutt/scrutum

Yup. R9 has closed the gap a little between this build and everything else since we don't have a good R9, but it is still way superior to other builds for bossing

Yes i tested it. Hoplite2 is the best imo. The next best would be peltasta but spear lunge, finestra 10, synchro10, peirce attr is better than high guard for rim/umbo.
Longstride is just for pvp. It has almost 0 use in pve. just 1 point just incase you pvp

Get everything on. The only time you dont want it on is due to SP cost. For example targe smash has a bunch of attributes that increases SP significantly. You want to turn that off if you dont have a cryo in your party to save sp but besides that everything should be on by default. If you are lazy and dont mind the SP cost then just leave everything on
Yes. Shield is definitely a must change as they will have a lot of socket. For weapon they will have simply more stats. This does not apply to solmiki weapon/shield

Always turn it on. So how synchro thrusting works is that the damage is divided into two numbers. A pierce part which scales off your patk and a strike part which scales off your shield defense(with a small modifier). The shield defense part is actually really weak compared to the pierce part.
What the attribute does is make the strike part 50% Weaker while making the pierce part 50% stronger. This is huge because in reality the pierce part will do like 200k damage while the strike part wil do like 10k damage without attribute. With the attribute it will be 300k pierce, 5k strike. So you will change from 210k total damage to 305k total damage. Never turn this attribute off

Rank 2 murm doesn't really provide any damage gain besides more skills in headbutt and stuff but... most of the damage comes from rod/hop/pelt. I would have to find out myself but for now im opting for pelt2 for high guard
Hmm you would need a different build entirely with different stat. I would personally go for something like sword>pelt>hop>???> corsair > ??? >???> murmillo. Anything works in those ranks as the rest are core.
It depends on what you want to fill in those spots. I would definitely take rodelero1 for shield charge/montano for r4.
r6: Rodelero2 is a nice choice for slithering.
r7: Shinobi for stealth and clone +kunai combo after iron hook.
Well... i was just rambling but i'd go sword>pelt>hop>rod2>corsair>shinobi>murm for pure pvp. Full con or high dex with some con. This is more of a tanky build that will only kil with kunai + clone + iron hook or murm skills.

If not then you choose what order you want to raise. Those 6 skills are your burst skills with clones. The rest are just fillers for when clone is down.

I know that highlander 2 is also a good path to go but then i have to completely give up my spear.. not sure how bad it is if we give up the block % from Peltasta 1

Another thing is that umbo blow is actually incredibly strong due to the stagger mechanic where the damage gets doubled when you block an enemy and not to mention its strike damage. In addition, swashbuckle is really really really really nice to have.
I changed my mind about r9. I am opting for hop2 now instead of pelt2. Spear lunge for synchro and kunai. Also more finestra is always welcomed. And ofc higher modifier for synchro (busted skill). I mainly changed my mind because high guard does not work for clones. It will only work for your main body
Do not give up your spear. Spear is significantly stronger than sword and especially with all the modifiers its even more important.
are you planning to go for 350 Spear? I have my spear +16 at the moment and now sure if i will switch to 350.
I honestly plan to reroll to fencer shinobi after r9 hits, but if i didnt i would definitely try for 350 spear. I am currently trying to get the solmiki weapon from the candy event and thats as good as 350 orange weps if you manage to get +21 or higher (with my luck that never happen) but ya.

What would you recommand for stats during leveling ? I'm 210 atm and I felt like putting 60 CON / 60 DEX for block / evade and the rest into STR because why not. But then I've read your guide and used a reset potion to put all my points into STR. I have now around 150 more ATK but I feel squishier now, like I'm taking more damages from Siaulau bosses plus I'm getting knockbacked a lot more. Are the 150 more ATK really that worth ?

Yes it is worth it because you won't die later unless you stand in stuff ofc. When you get to the higher lv and gear up you will be the tankiest character around despite going full dps stats/armor. Slithering ignores magic damage, helmet makes magic miss sometimes, finestra gives block, pelt1 gives +25% block,you have a shield(this is huge). Also gazing golem exists now so getting knocked back won't happen anymore.
Allright then, I'll stick with STR. I went pelt2 instead of hop1 because I followed another guide and I'm too lazy atm to start another char. Maybe later.

Pelt2 is fine as well.
It is not. It is too hard to crit and stacking crit rate is worse than stacking p.atk due to murmillo's scaling. Also critical attack does not get boosted by glass mole
the TW server is releasing the pvp & guid war system today, how do you like this BD in guild war or pvp? watched your pvp video with corsair BD and it looks great overall but i still need this murmillo BD to continue ET to get my solmiki gears.

31F finished with 1min 40 seconds left (im really geared though) but the druid is a kriv3 and the whole party is support.

Nope, just use aias. IF you already have it then its fine to use but don't bother crafting
Spam everything else. You will never run out of skills to spam except for like 1-2 seconds.
I believe it is the strongest offensively but there are other situations where sword3 outperforms this build due to pain barrier. Mainly nuaele which has a ton of magic knockback. Can't dps if you can't stick to a boss.
In this build you get a lot of block from pelt passive and finestra(pelt2 offers slightly less), the abiliy to use spear (strongest 1h weapon), a LOT of skills to use (skill rotation has only 1-2s of downtime at max), extra crit rate and aoe ratio from finestra. 1 additional strong skill from shinobi clone (synchro thrusting).
Yup, It is the 4th strongest cloned skill here. Kunai and shield bash are about equal since kunai can be casted 4 times during 1 clone cycle.
shooting star > shield bash > kunai > synchro thrusting > umbo blow > rim blow > bash > basic atk
They are but headbutt animation is way longer than high kick. You will get more damage out of highkick>headbutt but the damage is pretty insignificant compared to making sure the debuffs on your main skills
