This is an easy to follow guide to Swordsman DPS designed to take advantage of the new class changes. This guide was created by me and my friend Messalla from Silute, both old-school hardcore gamers who likes to min/max and theorycraft builds in every game we happen to play.

1. Introduction
This build is entirely focused on PVE. Though it can perform ok in some PVP situations, it was not designed for this purpose. Use at your own risk.
We designed this build in hope to help players that are lost during transition stage between the old and the new combat system.
2. Classes and Ranks
This is a Swordsman build that uses Highlander, Barbarian and Doppelsoeldner to deliver the highest DPS through an easy rotation with little to no downtime, while being extremely reliable both on boss fights and grinding.
2.1 Swordsman Rank 2
While some may argue that we’re “losing” damage by picking swordsman C2, we believe it’s the complete opposite.
Swordsman C2 gives you reliable self-buffs like Concentrate, Pain-Barrier and Restrain. Concentrate alone can give you a ton of damage, with virtually zero downtime. Pain-barrier makes you immune to knock downs and we all know that in order to DPS one must be standing on his feet, not on the ground or running from the boss.
Gung Ho is a bad skill, so we pick Bash and use it for early leveling and late game combo with Doppel's Punish.
2.2 Highlander Rank 2
Well, this is where we get the foundation of our build, with some really good DPS abilities that will be the bread and butter of our rotation.
First we pick Crown. This skill is good since it synergizes with Highlander’s Moulinet and Doppelsoeldner’s Zucken , while Catar Stroke is just a filler for when you’ve got nothing else off-cooldown.
Then you put Crown to 10/10 to maximize its damage and debuff effect duration, and max Moulinet and Skyliner.
Crosscut is kept at level 1 so we can use it to empower Skyliner.
2.3 Barbarian Rank 1
For this build we only get one rank in Barbarian because Doppelsoeldner’s skills are stronger and synergize well with the rest of the build. We pick Barbarian C1 to give us a buff to Slash type attacks as well as some Crowd Control (CC) abilities like Helm Chopper and Embowel. Stomping Kick should be used when you've got no AoE skills left and there are more than 3 targets nearby. To use it simply jump and press the button. You can "chain stomp" if you keep clicking the skill.
Barbarian C1 is really important here. WIthout it our damage is garbage.
2.3 Doppelsoeldner Rank 3
This is the cherry on top of the cake. With Doppel we’re able to deliver much more damage with little cost and a lot of synergy with the rest of the build!
First we get Cyclone for some devastating AoE damage with a lot of style. This skill hits very hard, with relatively low Cooldown. Deeds of Valor is also very good for its extra damage, all you’ve got to do is take care of your positioning during fights so you don’t get wrecked.
Then we get Zucken, which sinergyzes very well with Crown.
Zornhau, Zucken and Redel are kept at level 6 so we can get their attributes, Zwercchau is for its debuff and Sturtzhau is an amazing filler with high damage.
2.4 Alternative Skill Path
If you want to get #1 in every bossfight you should follow this next build. it has great sustainable damage and doesnt go down due to level 15 Pain Barrier

2.5 Attributes

3. Combat Rotation
One thing I like about this build is how easy it is to perform a perfect combat rotation. All you've got to do is keep in mind some rules, and you're good to go. Below are these rules and an example of an ideal execution order of the skills.
Rule 1: Only cast Skyliner AFTER you cast Crosscut. This will help you maximize your damage because of the Bleeding effect.
Rule 2: Only cast Zucken and Moulinet AFTER you’ve casted Crown. This will help you maximize your damage because of the Shock effect.
Rule 3: Only cast Cleave if your next skill is Slash type. This will help you maximize your damage because of the Extra damage to Slash abilities provided by Cleave.
Rule 4: Use Wagon Wheel when you’ve got nothing left and need time to reset the cooldowns, or when you’re getting swarmed and need space to reposition yourself.
Rule 5: Save restrain for high number of enemies or when you’ve got nothing left and need to auto attack.
Rule 6: Keep track of your buffs and debuffs, mainly Concentrate, Pain Barrier and the Cleave debuff on the enemies.

This exact order helps you maximize damage and make the skills benefit the most from the increased damage buffs. After that the boss will most likely be dead of close to death depending on your group, so you have two options. You can either wait for the cooldowns to reset and restart your full rotation or you can do split it in smaller parts as exemplified below:

4. Stat Distribution
After the Combat System rework, stat distribution became tricky, and a little blurry, with little official information avaliable.
I'm personally leaning torwards STR > DEX, but the hardcore folks in Korea are using a different approach, so I'll put both next and you can chose.
Western Style:
SPR → 15 invested points
CON → 30 invested points
STR → Put the remainder here
Korean Style:
STR → Aim for 200 WITH equips
DEX → Put the remainder here

E pra que restrain? Boss são imunes a stun, pra uma build focada no PVE essa skill vai ser simplesmente inutil, desperdício de 5 pontos. Indo nesse raciocínio, é melhor não ir sw2, e ir high3, e pegar mais pontos e skills de highlander, já que a sua build é focada na rotação. O que acha?

Primeiro, apos algumas pesquisas na internet e alguns testes cheguei a conclusão de que o Hardcap para a attackspeed de um personagem é alcançada em mais ou menos 120 de DEX, considerando o fato que esse DEX além de attack speed nos daria a boa penetração, a minha pergunta é: você acha que investir em equipamentos e cartas para alcançar esses stats valeria a pena?
Para chegar nisso de DEX a gente precisaria de 8 cartas Elaganos e o set de couro da HG 315.
Isso nos daria um bom dano?Ou vale mais a pena fazer algo mais tank, por exemplo:
Usar o set de plate da HG 315 que da muita CON e vida, e quanto as cartas, considerando a opção de fazer um personagem mais tank valeria mais a pena usar cartas da Nuale pra suprir a falta de MR, cartas do Blut para uma boa quantidade de CON, ou usar cartas do Gazing Golem para garantir que você vai poder continuar batendo no boss?

at the guide you say about getting a wagon wheel, but somehow on the build doesn't appear to have any wagon wheel... why?

Na build vc pede pra esquecer o stomping kick na parte de barbarian pq não encaixa, porém, na parte de distribuição de pontos de habilidade foram colocados 4 pontos em Stomping kick. Você não acharia melhor deixar zerado e colocar o Embowel com 5 pontos?
Esse comentário foi feito na primeira versão da build, porém no molde atual ele compensa sim pra ser usado em momentos que voce não tem outras habilidades AOE e existam mais de 3 mobs proximos a você.

SPR: 20 (4 +17)
DEX: 80 (6 +75)
e também tirar 2 pontos de bash e 1 de concentrate pra pegar gung ho lvl 3 e upar o atributo?
Caso faça uma build full DEX aconselho colocar mais alguns pontos em SPR pois vai gastar bastante mana por conta da velocidade em usar as habilidades.
Quanto às skills, Gung Ho é um lixo, escala muito mal e aumenta o dano que tomamos... O buff é fraco e dá mais impacto negativo do que positivo... no lugar dele usamos Deeds of Valor, que é um buff excelente!
