True Doppel DPS Build (Updated) 1/2

This is a pure 2-Hand PVE DPS build, focusing on endgame related content while having piss easy grinding time. You can try it in PVP; but without swordsman C3, or other ways to do CC or catch up, you will be kited, CC'd and generally ignored. Your damage will kill anyone really quickly, though.
Make no mistake. This build focuses on multi hitting skills, the strongest type of skills in the game currently. No class will be able to outdps a fully buffed skill spamming doppelsoeldner. (Except for broken skill combos such as Ice Wall and possibly a well geared Elementalist)
This class excels in single target damage and also has good AOE capabilities, however lower if you have AOE ratios, it will require help from other classes to shine in ET. Take that to mind.
This build can go BOTH full STR or full DEX(CRIT). You CAN mix them.

TL;DR, until future updates come out STR will win the DPS race by going crit rate gear. DEX does not contribute enough DPS increase with its flat +1 crit rate scaling.
The damage difference between full STR, full DEX, or mix/hybrid is very very small and will not make or break the game. STR will now give BLock penetration, very much needed in ET, Dex will also give you evasion and accuracy (helps in PVP and with high evasion monsters).
STR will now also increase your ATK by 30% now, making it quite more desireable than DEX. (For example 10 STR is now 13 ATK instead of 10).
Is dex needed for accuracy: No. No its not, even against higher level monsters, as long as your Gauntlets are up to date.
What armor type do i recommend? Full Plate. Gives bonus health and stamina and physical reductions. If you get hit magic dmg endgame you are most likely dead anyway. But physical dmg doesnt hit as hard and your chances to survive are better. Stamina is great to keep sprinting to stay in range and kite away and dodge stuff.
If you go full / high dex instead, consider leather for its evasion bonus. Evasion is very powerful, because being able to dodge almost any physical attack gives you very good survivability. However, magic cannot be evaded and Dodge Rate is capped at around 85~90%.
IF you dont care bout the armor bonuses, just take whatever equipment gives you the most offensive stats or rounds up your build. (More hp, more atk, more crit,etc)

Also remember that swordman has 7 buff slots by default. 8 if you are a token user and 9 once you hit rank 5.
We have 6 Buffs on our own at max level. (Pain Barrier, Concentrate, Gung Ho, Cleave, Double Pay Earn, Deeds of Valor). make sure not to override other buffs. If you have Blessing and sacra it puts you at 8. Aspersion at 9. If theres other classes that buff, you will need daino! Buy some daino scrolls at endgame to make sure you can keep your buffs!
This build has a second variation, that takes Barbarian 3, Highlander 1 instead.

Rank 1 (Swordsman)::
Skip Thrust, but get Bash to 3 for the attribute. Loosing 3 points into Gung Ho wont mean anything. But the Knockdown can come in handy.
2 into Gung Ho / Max Concentration and max attributes ASAP while leveling. It will fall off later, but it will be incredibly useful until mid game. It isnt expensive either. Concentration gives more damage, but doesnt last as long as Gung Ho, take your pick.
Or be a Token user and level both instantly, whenever you can.
Also, concentration is buffed now, increasing your ATK based on your STR (0.04) and DEX (0.02). Very nice little bonus.
Rank 2 (Highlander)::
Learn 2 hand sword wielding attribute instantly! Also Crit Attribute, no matter your stat build! Crit wants it asap!
Cartar Stroke lvl 3. Its slow-ish charge. But early a good burster and leveling tool. Later its use will fall off. 1.5 Seconds charge time is ok. Later you will use it to burst and kill Plate targets.
Get Block to Lvl 4. Amazing Skill. Will give you all the survival prowess you need. Learn to block at the right time and you will never run out of attack windows. Requires possibly a low enough ping. None the less, get it.

If you are Full STR its a very good idea to bring this to higher levels later on! Because the Block will scale up to 1000 and more giving you way enough block chance to equal that of a high dex build. If you have a lot of DEX, its better to leave it a level 5 once you are Highlander C3. It will still be good, but less chance of blocking will make it a bit of a risky move.
Get Crown Lv1 for its Shock Purpose. Only PVP Builds want it higher ranks.
Dragon Wheel is bad in PvE. Very bad.
Rank 3 (Highlander C2)::
Finally, great skills incoming.
Since we have saved up points, we can immediatly get [Moulinet], [Skyliner] and [Crosscut]! Save points again afterwards.
Lots of Skill synergys and multi hitting skills. Power Spike!
Get Block to lvl 5.
Get moulinet up to lvl 4, it doesnt scale to well and our block is too important.
If you really want to, lower Block levels and get more Moulinet levels. The choice is yours.
Rank 4 (Highlancer C3)::
Get [Skull Swing]. Level 1. We are taking it for its debuff.
Skull Swing gives you Armor Break at your disposal. Which makes all your attacks hit for true damage (enemy def reduced to 0).
Here you can choose how to invest your points. Max Moulinet, or max block. Get more Shock duration and power with Crown.

Vertical Swing got buffed a lot! Worth taking 5 points now. It still wont be as strong as moulinet or Doppel skills, but its now an amazing burst skill, especially with a party with tons of debuffs! Take points out of Crossguard (5) and Skull swing (1) and put this skill to level 5.
Also Max moulinet. Or Get high level cross guard if you want more block chance. Take points from moulinet or cross slash.
Note
You can take both Highlander C3 or Barbarian C1 at rank 4. The outcome is the same, but you will have different tools avaible at different times. Choose what you prefer. If you have crit gear available (Flamini and such) Barbarian will be able to contribute a lot to your damage.
Rank 5 (Barbarian C1)::
[Cleave] and [Helm Chopper] are the only viable options here.
Better yet, they form a synergy as well. Also Stun!
For Critical builds, Barbarian + Highlander is future proof thanks to additional crit rate on skills / two hand sword attribute.
Cleave gives you +50 Crit rate for 5 seconds. ("Hidden" Buff) use it before you burst hard with other skills.
Rank 6 (Doppelsöldner):
Cyclone 5/5.
Deeds of Valor 4/5.
Double Pay Earn 1/5.
Save points until next rank.
Rank 7 (Doppelsöldner):
Get Zornhau 1/5 and Zucken 5/5 instantly, this will be your new bread and butter combo.
Then get an early point in Redel.
Then Max cyclone 10/10.
Now Redel to 4/5, and increase Deeds of Valor to your desired level.
Get one point into Punish for C3 Doppelsöldner at the end!
Cyclone: The King of Swordsman AoE skills. Hits hard, hits fast, hits AoE, hits long!
You will love it.
Deeds of Valor: Gives one stack upon casting. So thats a free +10% Physical ATK all the time up. For each hit you take, add another 10% up to a max of 100% if you take it to level 10/10. Recasting the skill during its duration will not add another stack! Only getting hit increases stack count.
The rest is combo skills and multi hit as always. At rank 7 redel has very bad scaling sadly, therefore i choose to only take one point into it and rather increase my theoretical DPS by up to 100% with deeds of valor. Since all our DMG is physical damage, getting up to 100% more ATK, will ultimatively result in 100% more dmg (not factoring defense). You can opt to max redel and leave Deeds of Valor at 5, if you want to play it more safe and reliable, not a bad choice considering Earth Tower will one or two shot your little Doppel if you get hit without con.
Get one point into Double Pay Earn. You will most likely level with missions, like anybody else. Here is a nice trick: Shortly before the Boss dies, use DPE and dont attack anymore. You will get the benefits of the skill, because your team members do not consume the stacks. Easy double exp from those bosses. :)

I'm thinking getting full STR and play solo full PvE.
If I go full STR without CON but getting lv10 Cross Guard (or more) you can play in endgame?
The block of Cross Guard dont stack Deeds of Valor right? and recasting DoV will reset the stacks right?
And the skill rotation for boss should like this?
*maintain Gung ho/Concentrate/Pain Barrier/Deeds of Valor up all the time
- Skull Swing -> Crosscut + Skyliner (2x) -> Skyliner -> Vertical Slash -> Helm Chopper + Cleave + Cyclone (2x) -> Cleave -> Zornhau -> Zucken

Absolutely. It is designed for Doppel 3 in mind.
There's 2 things to note:
1. Korea got a patch that buffed both highlander and barbarian classes. Very noticeable buffs to vertical swing, pounce and giant swing. If you want to go highlander c3, I highly suggest you check that update out and consider a slight different skill set. Mainly vertical swing deserves 5 points once we get the update, that you will have to take from elsewhere.
2. You may want to try the barbarian 3 route instead, taking one highlander circle for its two hand critical attribute. It's linked in the guide.

I only know of a rumor, that claims the japanese version (jTOS) will have R8 classes on launch. jTOS is supposed to be released at the end of august. If that remains true, then Im fairly sure we will get it few weeks later. (it would be something like jTOS->kTOS->iTOS as per usual).
Ragnarok / Gravity handled it in very similar manner. Eventually jRO and kRO went their own routes but iRO remains months behind. Lets hope IMC doesnt do that ;)

No changes. It was nerfed since iTOS release. (5.5 duration at max level, instead of 7). For us there is no change
hard to say, ill update the guide and test out the new changes once they hit. Its a nice nuker now, its probably viable to take it.
Which means taking out points from crossguard or skull swing.
Something between 50 and 100 con.
Skull swing lvl 1 cuz we take it for the debuff.
Too many to list. A lot of good 2hand swords that are good for different builds (STR / CRIT), aswell as different scenarios, such as huge AOE ratio for dungeons and grinding.
I used random 2 handers from the acution house until 75. Then i used Flamini with some upgrades and lvl 3 green gems for crit (roast them).
120 i used Lapis.Great weapon for its level. refine to +5. And keep this weapon. It has use in ET; because it gives huge block penetration, something you need for Earth tower. Over refine to +10 or so and itll be viable, even at 280.
170 i use Magi-Two handed sword. put lvl 6 green gems in there and over refine, itll be fine all the way to max, probably best dps sword in the game that you can buy.
280 you want to use lolopanther sword eventually, but its near impossible at the moment, if not impossible.
Need to clear level 20 ET For that.
Have a full DEX in the works, and a full STR with a different build, updating soon. FOr now i do actually recommend going full STR, because its very needed with the coming ktos patch.

However, in KTOS STR = More Block penetration. So once we have the patch, it should be perfectly fine to use a Magi two hander , or anything equal for ET.
Yea for starting out, its not gonna happen unless you get very lucky with rare drops and make money this way, or sell tokens or headgear enchants. However any weapon will do, as long as you upgrade at each level requirement. (15 40 75 120 170) After you got magi two handed, it doesnt matter anymore. ITs good to have magi for general dps, and another with massive amount of AOE ratio, to be more efficient in ET.
Not Necessarly bad, but not great either. Going "hybrid" gives you some of each class. (Moulinet and seism) but you simply wont shine at either. You dont get Defense Debuff from H3 and you dont get max level Frenzy and War Cry, especially the frenzy attribute is important. Those C3 skills are really what defines either build. (Bosses in ET For example have around 450 to 650 defense, a signifant amount to reduce a lot of your damage)
You can either choose to disable the defense, or to pump your attack to outweight it. Going H2,B2 will give you neither option.
Zornhau
Possibly, untested. Its DMG is good, but you need iframe group. Else you will die. Possibly barrier can work if you have a tank. I think theres better classes to take the slot (thanks to IMC poor balance), but its no useless.
No utility, decent AOE, high burst and DPS, thats it.
I have one question. What do you think if I choose Corsair in Rank 5?

Nothing will beat the amount of power added by Barbarian C1. +50 Crit and +50% Slash dmg (korea). And a stun.
But if you like and prefer the Corsair skills, go for them! In the end its all about your play style

extra shock atrtibute for zucken.
its animation is faster than zornhau and theres a huge possibility you cannot follow up with zucken after zornhau (you get knocked down, enemy is attacking, etc.) its just one point and you dont lose a lot of dmg from moulinet over it.
And you really don't need a little dex to hit stuff on the Full Str build? Don't miss a lot?

Full STR + crit gear is my current idea (i think it combines best of both worlds)
no dex for hit, gear provides accuracy. Cant speak for super super high lvl ET, but till then, no.
Planned updates:
-Add skill videos for each skill in a realistic application. (TOSbase videos suck)
-Math crunching on skill combos, viability of skills.
-Stat route changes. Explanation why more CON doesnt make sense for endgame (Earth tower).

I also was thinking on DS C2, but cannot decide between High C3 or Barb C3. High C3 seems to provide more single target DPS but Barb C3 is better for AoE clears, or am I wrong?
For your first question, you answered it yourself. :)
The Buff is possibly the strongest buff in the game for physicals. And since we play glas cannon risking taking hits to keep it up is not very smart. Redels damage per level increases only very very slightly, where as 40% extra physical atk that pump all your attacks and you can keep it up by itself, will drastically increase DPS.
What i think about C3/H3: (Speaking PURE PVE)
H3::
-Insane DPS because of high hit count skills.
-Very high burst (Use Cartar on Enemies facing walls or on monsters/bosses that cannot be knock backed, moulinet and Crosscut+skyliner spam will easily deal the biggest burst)
-Armor Break build in (15 sec duration i believe) True DMG enabler, works on all monsters.
-Block that provides additional survivability, something needed if you suddenly take lots of aggro. (b1 will have access to this!)
B3::
-Cleave + Helm Chopper combo speaks for itself. Stun, Chopper is a double hit, great damage, both have overheat. Its basically their version of Skyliner + Crosscut (albeit not as effective). (h1 will have access to this too!)
-Many useless skills such as Embowel, Stomping Kick, Warcry(?), Giant Swing, Pouncing. Giant Swing can have its uses, is pretty good in pvp, but for actual dpsing or boss fighting? Garbage.
-Frenzy looks awesome on paper, but its pretty much useless for anything but boss fights (hoping it doesnt spawn adds, or traps on you, which will make you lose stacks) Its gimmick is more annoying than DoV. But if you get Deeds fully stacked and Frenzy as well, you will see some sick dmg. 400 bonus dmg does sound nice and i would take the skill regardless how much use i can make of it per dungeon run/mission run.
So what do we get exclusively from going b3? Seism 10/10 and Frenzy 10/10. Thats just one extra skill with a huge aoe burst. Is that better than going H3 that gives Moulinet, Crosscut(+BLEED),Skyliner,Skull Swing, Vertical slash? Up to you. For me, it isnt. especially the bleed + armor break are really valuable down the line.
Seism is a great AOE clear skill, but it really doesnt make the class for me.

What stats should i give for pvp? skills points change so much? you should do a pvp version we are a lot of people interesed ^^

Need different stats and skills for this in pvp. however i highly suggest against playing this kinda swordsman in pvp, because there are much better options that will make it easy to score kills. Doppel builds are sadly way to squishy and predictable.
PVp you want atleast 60~80 points into CON, rest str.
Barb 3 has only frenzy, which wont necessarly give you more dmg. just because your PHYSATK is higher doesnt mean you deal more dmg. Highlander has way more options to deal damage thru combos. What do you have as H3? Seism. And Cleave, and helm chopper which cant even stun, therefore making the combo useless. Bleed works on bosses, however, as well as armor reduce. Moulinet on its own is amazing.
Dex for hitting? No, trust me, dont.

So far i didnt need any DEX or SPR on my other melee characters (tank and wannabe monk).
DEX / STR hybrid for critting is absolutely useless endgame due to crit rate formula. Either you go one way or the other. But currently you need about 600~700 total crit rate to be able to crit at high rate (lvl 280). You wont reach that with stats alone, probably not even half of it.
