Crit % = (Crit rate - mob crit resist) x 42/ your level + sneak hit (only applicable if at back)
[when at back] If crit rate - mob crit resist is negative, it will reduces your sneak hit %, which means reduces your overall crit %. If it is positive, it will further add with your sneak hit % and increases overall crit %.
[when at front] Your overall crit % is just dependent on crit forumla without sneak hit.
In short, you still need some crit rate in order not to drag down too much on your sneak hit crit % when facing back. Else even with sneak hit, crit has less chance to occur.
There is no "optimal" amount of dex as a guideline because mob crit resist is a variable that can't be control and varies from mobs to mobs and bosses to bosses.
In my opinion, around 50-100 crit rate (this DOES NOT mean 50-100 dex, you can get crit rate from equips, e.g. sissel) with sneak hit should be good if you are planning to farm dungeon 145. You can check out the mobs crit resist in dungeon 145. Do get 2 sissel, and go very high str.
