I'm going to call this a Murmillo guide because Murmillo is probably the most important key to the build with its Cassis Crista attributes, even if it only has one circle of the class.
Murmillo, Rodelero and Peltasta all specialize in dealing strike damage with mostly a shield, they all synergize together since they technically have no weapon restriction other than the shield itself and can enhance each others damage via debuffs and attributes. Murmillo alone will increase most of Peltasta and Rodelero's skills by up to 150% by equipping its Cassis Crista Helmet so long as you learn its attributes.
With the Rank 10 update we take Retiarius Circle 2 over more Murmillo Circles since it offers the ability to equip a 1 handed spear, gives additional utility, and better damage with its skills.
And last note, with the several nerfs over the past to Shinobi, I no longer find it worth taking anymore to clone your Peltasta and Rodelero skills since they don't benefit from any of your buffs or attributes anymore. Also with the buffs to shield attacks where they gain additional physical attack based off the defense of your shield, Butterfly and Umbo Thrust are great skills now.
Rating of Class 1-10 (my opinion):
Single Target: 8.5
Area of Effect: 6.5
Durability: 10
Solo: 8
Team: 8
Pros:
- Extremely tanky
- Scales very well with gear and attributes
- Many attack skills, no downtime
- Easy to level
Cons:
- Moderate damage with low investment
- Extremely expensive attributes (22.5 million just for 3 important Murmillo's)
- Lower than average aoe radius
- Not very controller friendly due to many skills.
Stat Distribution:
100+ Con (See Below), This stat will greatly increase your survivability since it increases your Health, Health Regeneration, Health restored from Potions, and Block Rate.
Remaining into STR.
You will need to invest in high Con for content like Velcoffer, Demon Lord World Bosses, or Soloing CM (Around 90,000 Hp with Guardian Buff will make you feel pretty invincible, which is around 300 Con, counting items).
However if you don't plan on doing such content you won't need as much Con (Around 70,000 Hp, which is around 190 Con, counting items).
Dex doesn't really offer anything to the build other than the critical attack and block penetration, which you can solve any block problems from gear alone.
Skill Distribution:
You will notice that some circles don't have 15 points invested, that's because you can save points from the same class and invest them in the next circle.
Swordsman:
5/5 Bash, Nothing too special, you will mostly only use this to level, or to crowd control enemies with the knockdown attribute
5/5 Gung Ho, Buffs your Physical Attack and slightly lowers your Physical Defense, Scales with strength. Does not stack with Guardian, one will over write the other, but is still worth investing in as a level skill or to deal extra damage when you aren't worried about taking damage.
5/5 Pain Barrier, This buff prevents you from getting Knockback, Knockdown or Staggered and greatly increases your chance to resist status effects like Frozen.
Peltasta:
Like with most Shield attacks, they deal additional damage based off the physical defense of your shield, some skills scale better than others, so keep in mind that upgrading your shield is an important factor to your damage.
12/15 Umbo Blow, Deals strike damage in a small radius around you, and if used on a staggered target (a few second long debuff applied by blocking) they will take two hits instead of one.
Not very impressive at first but with the Cassis Crista attribute, High Guard attribute, and while the target is staggered by a block, it can deal some very high damage.
11/15 Swashbuckling, Causes many enemies in a very large radius to aggro immediately and run towards you at an increased speed. Extremely good for dungeons or pulling mobs to grind, it also bypasses the amount of enemies one can physically pull. Also has an attribute that causes you to take 25% less damage for 10 seconds when cast, which makes it a great cooldown skill even if you already have aggro.
11/15 Guardian, This buff is not ridiculously overpowered, its a buff that increases your physical and magical defense by 100% and has 100% up-time at level 11. It also has an attribute that further reduces your damage taken by 20%. Seriously, this skill is insanely good lol.
1/10 High Guard, For 30 seconds increases your block. If you learn its two attributes it will cause you to deal bonus damage with your Peltastas Umbo Blow and Rim Blow.
5/5 Butterfly, Hits targets multiple times for strike damage, also has 100% scaling from your shields defense instead of 30% like most other shield skills. Deals a ton of damage once you learn the Cassis Crista Repeated Hits attribute.
5/5 Umbo Thrust, Applies a 50% armor break debuff that lasts for 3 seconds, the debuff has a very low chance to miss. It may only last a few seconds, but its enough time to land 2-3 skills which leads to a significant damage boost.
Rodelero:
Like with most Shield attacks, they deal additional damage based off the physical defense of your shield, some skills scale better than others, so keep in mind that upgrading your shield is an important factor to your damage.
15/15 Targe Smash, Straight forward skill, hits several targets in an aoe in front of you for strike damage, one of Rodelero's best skills once enhanced by Cassis Crista.
13/15 Shield Shoving, Another skill similar to Targe Smash but with less damage, overheat, and aoe ratio.
10/10 Shield Bash, This is a slash skill but still hits hard on its own regardless of not having a debuff that furthers its damage.
1/10 Slithering, A one point wonder to be used as a defensive cooldown, Its sort of a channel skill that allows you to move, while holding the skill it causes you to avoid a variety of attacks, and once released it deals slash damage to targets in front of you.
5/5 Shooting Star, Hits targets multiple times for strike damage, also has 100% scaling from your shields defense instead of 30% like most other shield skills. Deals a ton of damage once you learn the Cassis Crista Repeated Hits attribute.
1/5 High Kick, One point wonder, causes targets hit to take 30% additional strike damage for 10 seconds. Use this before you combo your other strike attacks to maximize damage.
Murmillo:
1/1 Cassis Crista, This is where you get your first large power spike and where the build starts to come together. When using this skill you put on a Helmet that has an infinite duration (It sort of acts like a stance), that gives you a chance to block incoming Missile and Magic attacks, and allows you to use most of your Murmillo skills.
Now with that aside, the reason why this skill is so important to the build is because it has three attributes that greatly enhance most of your early rank attack skills (from 100-150% more damage), turning them into attacks that can compete with Rank 8 abilities. It is incredibly important that you buy these attributes as soon as you can, for they are what define the build.
4/10 Evade Thrust, Deals high pierce damage and has a chance to bleed with an attribute.
Its damage can be increased by 100% and critical chance increased by 50% from either Rete debuffs as long as you are using a one handed spear.
5/5 Headbutt, Deals high strike damage and has a chance to stun, and apply a strike debuff for 10 seconds if its attribute is learned. Deals additional damage if the target is stunned.
5/5 Scutum Hit, Deals high strike damage to several enemies in a wide sweep in front of you. Can apply bleeding to enemies further away and has additional scaling from the defense of your shield.
Retiarius:
This is your second large power spike, once you become a Retiarius you may equip a one handed spear which is roughly 8% more damage than a sword.
Also Disarm and Trident Finish, and both Rete skills provide excellent damage and utility to the overall build.
4+/10 Pull Rete, Throws a net in a large cone that pulls them together and immobilizes them. While immobilized, they take +100% damage and +50% minimum critical chance from pierce attacks that use a one-handed spear (Trident Finish, Evade Thrust).
5+/10 Throw Rete, Throws a net at a designated location (within a maximum range) and immobilizes them, during the effect they take additional damage and critical chance like Pull Rete.
Has an attribute that allows it to effect bosses.
You may invest more points to increase the duration so you have more time to use your Trident Finish and Evade Thrusts if you need it. Test out on a practice dummy or on a boss to find out how long you need for yourself.
10/10 Trident Finish, Deals extremely high pierce damage with a very high aoe ratio. The minimum critical chance can be increased by 50% and the damage by 100% if the target is effected by a Rete debuff.
5/5 Disarm, Incredibly good skill in pve, It deals high strike damage and applies a -25% armor penetration debuff on the target for several seconds. Similar to your other damage multipliers, you want to apply this before your hard hitting skills.
1/5 Vital Protection, One point wonder for its attribute, buffs yourself for 50 seconds that prevents you from receiving critical attacks, but is situationally useful because it prevents you from dying and gives you a 5 second immunity when proc'd.
Dagger Finish: You can put skill points into Dagger Finish if you don't mind investing in another weapon and don't mind using your remaining 5 points on it over increased targets/duration on either Rete skills.
Keep in mind this will also require you to weapon swap, which personally I don't like using since it feels pretty clunky, but others may feel differently.
Otherwise, your last 5 points will go into Throw Rete if you need longer debuff duration, or Pull Rete to be able to pull more targets. The choice is yours!

Peltasta - Shield Guard
Peltasta - Guard: Defense
Peltasta - Shield Mastery: Block
Peltasta - Swash Buckling: Focused Defense
Peltasta - Guardian: Reduce Damage
Peltasta - High Guard: Umbo Blow Speciality
Rodelero - Targe Smash: Remove Knockback
Murmillo - Enhanced Peltasta Shield Attack (Very Important, 7500 Attribute Pts).
Murmillo - Enhanced Rodelero Shield Attack (Extremely Important, 7500 Attribute Pts).
Murmillo - Repeated Hits Attack Boost (Extremely Important, 7500 Attribute Pts).
Murmillo - Evade Thrust: Bleed
Use One-handed Spears (Use a 1H spear from this point on).
Retiarius - Throw Rete: Enhanced Net
Equipment / Core Items / Cards:
Investing in a good Shield and enhancing it is still important and has a fair impact on your damage with your shield skills (your Spear takes priority of course).
Leather armor if you don't mind sacrificing defenses for some bonus crit, or can get your hands on some Solmiki leather.
Otherwise Plate for more Pdef.
Red Card: Glass Mole Lv10 x3 (+30% Physical Attack for 6 seconds after consuming an Sp Potion)
Blue Card: Nuaele Lv10 x3 (+30% Magic Defense)
Green Card: Ellaganos Lv10 x3 (+30 Dex)
Purple Card: Gazing Golem Lv5-10 x3 (15-30% chance to gain Pain Barrier when hit) Still useful even on a swordsman.

Plate or Leather amor? I have very simple doubts.
The first reason is that although the damage dealt by clones cannot be affected by buffs and attributes, the debuffs dealt on the boss does affect the damage of the clones. High kick and headbutt both make the boss weak to strike type attacks and therefore makes moves such as shooting star and shield bash more powerful when dealt by clones. (I have gems of both moves so the damage further spikes up since clones benefit from that too).
The second reason, however, is much more significant and it relates to the fact that all shinobi moves are secretly pierce-type attacks even though they don't tell you that. And because of this, the rete debuff can double the damage of all shinobi moves (and this concept relates to the first reason). Although the clones are not affected by buffs, they do have increased damage against a debuffed opponent.
Peltasta circle 3 only offers a mediocre move butterfly (not even that good after maximum 100 level enhance attribute) and umbo thrust that does decent damage and an awesome armour break debuff (3 seconds x 2 OH) but it does not compare to the clones which deal higher burst damage for 20 seconds.

Are you sure doppel instead of Pelt3 for rank 7 is that bad of idea?
Pelt 3 has two medium offensive skils and not a single good c3 exclusive attribute.
Doppel would give the class a decent AoE skill in Punish wich this build desperately needs, a decent %dmg buff in DoV wich is even better cause you tank with block most of the time so you diminish a lot of the plus dmg taken and also have Modschlag wich is also Strike dmg.
TL:DR Doppel offers +%dmg for all your other skills, + huge AoE + One decent strike skill

In all honesty, I can't seem to fit nak on any builds unless you go sword3 highlander3 doppel3 (can either be nak or shinobi) but I found that build to be extremely boring to play. I can't believe I wasted my free voucher on it too.
Doppel is definitely not worth it in this build at all, you are giving up way too much for it.
As for Shinobi, I already explained in the guide why its not good anymore, and why Peltasta is great.
I would like to know which cards are indicated for this build? And which combos i can do with it?
Purple can be whatever its not that important, I like Gazing Golem even though its a swordsman build and has the skill naturally.
But I'd say play what you think is more fun for you, because both can do it, there are also other swordsman builds out there that can do velcoffer too (like fencer), I'd say play what you find fun.
First, why we don't pick Murmillo or Shinobi, which I suppose isn't 'Synergy' but I figure I'd explain it.
- Murmillo 2 & 3 isn't very good, its new skill is bad and shield train has always been mediocre.
- Shinobi has been nerfed so much now it's not a very good class in most swordsman builds aside from Doppel and maybe a Fencer build (I can't say, don't play Fencer). It's even being nerfed and/or redesigned in the future because IMC doesn't like its current design because it causes problems with balancing, either its too strong or too weak.
Then for Synergy we have:
- Reti allows you to equip a one-handed spear which is roughly a 8-10% damage boost to everything over using a sword, this makes up for a lot of damage you are 'losing' from not having higher levels of murm skills, and we don't want to take Hoplite anymore because Peltasta C3 is actually really good now.
- Trident Finish and Evade Thrust are enhance by both Retes. Rete debuff doesn't stack with Hoplites pierce debuff, its meant to be used with Reti's own skills as a superior debuff.
- Disarm is ridiculously powerful, It is also strike damage which is further enhanced by your strike debuffs, this skill and being able to use a 1h spear is worth going Reti for over murm3 alone.
- Pull Rete is good outside of its 'damage enhancement for pierce attacks', it allows you to group up and aoe monsters which is definitely one of the weaknesses of the build, even after all melee attacks aoe radius being increased.
As for Dagger Finish, technically you could level and use it, it would hit really hard so long as you have a good dagger. I'll mention that in the guide if you are willing to put that time and investment, I just really dislike how clunky weapon swapping for swordsman feels.

Anyways, to clarify a few things since I made some changes, and to answer your question.
- I got rid of Rim Blow because I had forgotten that Umbo Blow deals two hits if the target is staggered, and since Umbo Blow and Rim Blow both scale exactly the same + the fact that we have so many skills to rotate through, I decided to get rid of it. My gear isn't that amazing but my Umbo Blow is hitting for around 150k x2 with High Guard up.
- Removed the 1 point of Shield Push, never get the chance to use it at higher ranks, would be a damage loss if I did.
- Removed a few points from Throw Rete since 5 seconds is enough time for me to get off all my Trident Finish and Evade Thrust overheats, and I have 100-300 ping since I'm half way across the world to the servers, so I'm sure its enough for pretty much everyone.
- Personally not a fan of weapon swapping for Dagger Finish when using a Rete skill, since you only have a few seconds to use Trident Finish, Evade Thrust and then Dagger Finish (really really hard with my ping). However, I didn't mind switching to a dagger to use it when a bosses hp is low for the damage boost (which both don't stack anyways).
Maybe others will feel differently though, so I'm going to keep it up as an option.
