Hunter3-Falconer3
Hunter3 Falconer3 is a full-on support archer who excels specifically in PvE content such as ET. Despite the many bugs that makes the class less popular than it should be, Hunter brings a variety of utility skills to the table. Combine it with Falconer3's supporting capability, we get a very vaulable character who has multitude of utilies for the party.
Stat Distribution:
Full STR. You can put some points into CON if you wish to have better survivability.
Skill explanation:
Archer
Swift Step: Extremely useful skill - boosts your movement speed while attacking. Works with Limacon. The main reason why we want this is because at Archer2 we gain an attribute that gives us crit rate while Swift Step is active. Seeing how crit rate is so hard to get by nowadays outside of gear, has immense value for us.
Note: Not many classes outside of archer tree benefits from this skill. Do not use the attribute Swift Step: Share - it only serves to eat up buff slots (you have a fixed number of active buffs you can have at one point of time) and may end up overwriting important buffs such as blessing, revive, quicken or haste. And no, you can’t share crit rate.
Oblique Shot: Hits 2 targets per shot. The 5 overheat makes it a very useful skill for leveling.
Multishot: Doesn't have that much damage, but we take it for the synergy with circling/aiming.
Kneeling Shot: For crit rate and attack speed.
Hunter
Coursing: 1 pointer skill for debuff
Snatching: Deals decent damage, also has great synergy with ground based magic circles like frost cloud.
Praise: Basically a boost to your whole skill set. Gets 100% uptime at lvl 4.
Rush Dog: your main damage skill. Has a decent modifier on a very low cooldown.
Retrieve: A useful skill that deals some damage and drags enemies to you.
Hounding: Find hidden enemies. 1 pointer for situational use (also for finding cloaked scouts in PvP)
Growling: The reason why we went hunter3. If utilised right, certain ET floors such as 27F which is normally difficult for others can be a breeze for your party.
Falconer
Call: For skill rotation
Circling: Reduces AoE attack ratio for all enemies in its range. Our bread and butter skill as falconer, at falconer3 we gain an attribute that has a 75% chance of spreading damage for all afflicted enemies. We leave it at lvl 5 since mobs dont have higher than 5 AoE attack ratio.
Hovering: Commands hawk to stay at a location and attack enemies passing below it, knocking them down. We put 3 points for attributes.
Pheasant: Knocks down (stun with attribute) enemies in a large AoE, dealing some damage to them. Very useful for regrouping and catching a breath, or setting up the mobs for CC on defence floors.
Hanging Shot: 1 point for preventing damage from close ranged attack.
Sonic Strike: Potentially our highest damaging skill in Falconer tree. Can confuse enemies with attribute.
Aiming: Falconer3's key spell apart from circling. Increases the hitbox of all enemies underneath your hawk. Complements physical DPS such as mergen, fencers and doppels extremely well.
Pre-emptive strike: A type of buff that allows hawk to attack anyone who is close to you. Extremely strong in both PvP and PvE.
Gear option
Weapon:
Any bow in your level range until...
Lvl 75: Savage Bow - gives +2 to all your hunter skill levels. Use this until you feel that your simply not doing enough damage. Once you start to feel the lack in damage, change to any HG crossbow in your level range + shield (Aias/Didel Tower Shield). Upgrade to Lionhead/Emengard shield at lvl 315 if you can afford it.
Armor:
Any plate set in your level range for more durability. I recommend hunting groud sets.
Accessory:
Max Petamion - overall stat boost
Dhrag/Rhevisian Bracelet - for more defence if you wish to invest a bit.
Gems
Main Hand:
Red gem - for more damage
Skill gems can be used as well.
Shield:
Blue gem - for more block
Top and bottom:
Red Gem - More HP pool. Archers have the 2nd lowest overall HP pool and red gem will help with that
Yellow Gem - for more physical defence. Take this if you are comfortable with your HP pool.
Boots
Blue Gem - for more magic defence.
