(Collecting the items can be done without the note, but you'll need to find the note first to trigger anything else.)

1) Find an Empty Note in one of the jars in Fedimian. There are three spots it can spawn in;
- To the left of the Druid Master
- Directly to the south of the Mercenary Post Warp
- Near the top of Fedimian on the right-hand side
(Exact location of each spot):

[Note: This item has a GLOBAL respawn of 4 hours. It can be in one of these three spots at any one time, most likely the first two. It seems each channel has their own respawn and timer as well, so check multiple channels.]

2) Once you've found the note, go and talk to the Scout Master in Gateway of the Great King. She will notice the note has an invisible message hidden on it. In order to reveal the hidden message, you'll need to collect quite a few items.

3) She will give you two recipes;
- Scout Master's Elixir

- Invisible Message Revealer


Now, you must collect these items:

Find the 'Disposable Vials' in a chest in Vieta Gorge.
Find the 'Yellow-eyed Flower' in a yellow flower patch in Alameth Forest.

[NOTE: 4 HOUR RESPAWN TIME!]

Find the 'Solvent' in a chest in Letas Stream.

To create the 'Scout Master's Elixir', you'll need to farm a lot of items:
- Slick Sap x 100 (10% drop from Ravinelarva in Dvasia Peak)
- Tipio Stamen x 80 (20% drop from Tipio in Veja Ravine)
- Wax x 50 (8% drop from Red Tree Ambulo in Apsimesti Crossroads, highest chance; alternatives: ( http://www.tosbase.com/database/items/645187/12236 )
- Resin x 10 (10% drop from Long-Branched Tree in Goddess' Ancient Garden)
- Colifly Stamen x 30 (2.5% drop from Colifly in Main Chamber or Seir Rainforest, or same drop chance from Black Colifly in Roxona Reconstruction Agency East Building)

4) Once all of these items have been acquired, craft the Scout Master's Elixir. Then, you can use the quest items you collected earlier, the newly crafted Elixir, and the Empty Note to craft the last recipe.

5) Crafting the last recipe reveals the message on the note. Right-click the note to bring up a message. The message is intel from a Shinobi, and mentions a rendezvous point is in Mesafasla. Travel to Mesafasla to find the Shinobi Master.



6) Upon talking with the Shinobi Master, she will acknowledge your skill in finding out the information hidden on the note, and will then take it from you.

Congratulations! You can now advance to Shinobi at Rank 7 Swordsman, no prerequisite jobs required.


How I leveled up based on my experience

Started in klapedia

Did quests in klapedia in orsha from 1-90 (skipped lemprasa pond storyline from orsha. I started in koru jungle on the orsha questline)

Did 3x level 90 dungeon. Popped up some cards to 100 then did 3x mission dungeon.

Level 104 achieved in 13 hours

Did some questing then poped some cards until 115.

Did 3x mission dungeon and 3x 115 dungeon then done some quest

Achieved level 127 class rank 5 in 25 hours steam time

Done some quests then use cards asap until 145

Did 145 dungeon and mission dungeon 3x achieved 152. (46 hours steam time)

Did questing from 152- 177 straight no grinding. Did 130 dungeon rush instead and mission dungeon 3x.

Level 177 class rank 6 (71 hours achieved)

Did questing from 177-190 (this is the point you will have 1-10 level gaps on maps but it will stop once you hit 186).

Achieved level 190 in 88 steam hours.

Did 190 dungeon and 3x mission dungeon achieved 195.

Did some questing until 210. Started to grind in alemeth until 220.

Achieved level 220 127 hours steam time.

Did missions poped up cards until cranto coast. Reached 226 class rank 7 3 points on 142 steam hours.

Pretty much you will run out of quests and you need to grind

Evacuation 228- 248
Storage 252-272
Maven abby 264-280

FAQ:

Why did you not grind from demon prison or dina bee?

Demon prison is full of bots and dina bee is full of macro afk socerer necromancers. Besides Why will you grind early mid game when you will grind in mid late game?

Grind in early game or not you will still grind till 280. Period.

When to use cards?

I use them asap for God's sake. I'm not even scared of popping up cards.

What is the difference of grinding early game and popping cards asap?

Nothing. Early game grinding just give you some level advantage to go to class rank 7. It doesn't change the fact you will be grinding till 280.

Guidelines in leveling up.

ALWAYS 100% EVERY MAPS. It will give you 3 exp cards depending on the map's level. (Royal masoleum 4f and sanctuary is impossible to 100% under normal means).

Always do every quests in from Main chamber(137/ level 7 cards) until cranto coast(232 level 11 cards)

hi nymi! interesting build here. made me want to try making it. but some questions popped to my head.

why so many level 1 skills on rode? why not use the points to max shield shoving and targe smash instead? are the 4 of them still gonna be used later into the game even though they're only at level 1?

and im not sure how to give my skill points rn. im at 27, C1 pelt. and i thougt maybe we start off as a tank right? so maybe more CON at first so we can do our job as a tank in the first dungeon runs? or do you have any suggestions?

last but not least, can i know what your end stats and gear now as a murmillo?

i'm leveling a would be murnobi too right now , and the build are pretty much the same as this , the only different is at rank 3 i will take 1 circle of hoplite instead of pelta 2 , mainly because of finestra , 1H spear and shield also viable with this build right ?

i also want to ask why you take guardian ? for evasion ? your shinobi are dex base ?

oh i wanna add why i take hoplite besides for finestra

now syncro thrusting also can be used by bunshin and will provide good source of pierce damage , we already have so many strike damage , plus 50% pierce damage from syncro atr , 2 overheat and 15 seconds CD and have counter i think people underestimated syncro.

and high guard actually cut your damage 50% so u wouldn't actually deal 300% damage

finestra could grant me 70 crit rate (80 if i party with cleric2 with divine might) with zega spear and that's a lot as 1 dex only grant you 1 crit rate and gem lvl 6 is not that much crit rate either

I went really high dex

you can skip some quests from level 1-7 cards and do main quests. Never skip level 8 and above

its possible not to grind and you will reach level 327 or 328 just by purely questing from scratch. I have friends and a guild so questing was a breeze for me.

Grind spots:
Alemeth 190-250
Evac (obsolete) 215- 260
Storage 240-280
Maven 260- 300 (need to finish quest until oaseu memorial im not sure about the spelling)
timerys 280-315

There are no good grind spots afterwards

Hello, this build looks rl interesting to try, but there is so many skills to take just on lvl 1 and i prefer gamepad playing (thats main reason why i m playing tos - fine gamepad support), any chances/advices to effective using this build with pad?
there is 28 skills with gamepad 17/18 (2 slots for pots 1 for additional item even comaps) is optimal, ofc i can switch to 2nd skill set but how should i locate skills in every set? and when use witch one?

@thiago.studart-siqueira you lose lots of damage if you do that. Pelt skills can be copied by ninja, and with highguard level 3 you do 300% more damage with Rim/Umbro, further increased later by Cassis Crista.

What will be the Rank 8 of this build?

Rank 8 is out but unfortunately many people fears that corsair/ shinobis will be doomed. Do not fret. Indeed, we cant get rank 8 classes but we still can get lower rank classes. Fencer will be the best class to synergize in this build. Why you ask?

Lunge has a debuff which makes your target vulnerable to slash attacks. So basically it will boost your Bunshin+ double slash combo.

Attaque Coquille ignores the target's defense and make them vulnerable to pierce attacks. So basically it will boost your Bunshin+ kunai combo.

@oranghugo http://www.tosbase.com/tools/skill-simulator/build/f4uw6e2564/ your bunshinmancer seems better tbh. Moulinette can be copied by clones and fencer has lunge for slash debuff and attaque for pierce. There is still not absolute dual wielding sword build as of now though.

you should have go for barb instead of fencer, kTOS have an update of Cleave having a debuff 50% more damage for slash type attacks.

Atleast Barb uses swords and have lots of crowd control skill. That 50% more damage is the read deal, tho i don't know when will it get to iTos.

@Brewmaster barb only has slash debuff from cleave while fencer has lunge slash debuff and attaque for pierce. We also have additional combo which is attaque + sept and attaque+ hexen. I would've chosen doppel for rank 8 bacause of DOV but fencer is the best after researching thoroughly. Currently 238 and I will be on a long hiatus on this build.

@nymi Well, just be careful on your research, a lot of people like to spew random opinions about builds without ever having tried out a build or thinking through the thought processes behind builds. They read something and bandwagon or think they're experts after having done no research at all. half of these people have never even gotten to rank 7 xD

@Brewmaster I'll just rush level to rank 8 when it is implemented then test it out with videos. Would take 1-2 weeks to grind from 238 up to 271-277 (rank 7 class 15). Rank 8 implementation will be my only motivation to play tbh that's why im on hiatus. XD

@luis.miguel Hi thanks. This is the most balanced pve and pvp build i can think of. Thanks for following though.

If you want pvp

you can take off points from gung ho then put it to pain barrier (swordsman tree) and bash level 3 for knockdown

You can also take off jolly roger points and put it to iron hook (corsair tree)

The shinobi tree is already optimized for both situations
