Thauma2-Chrono3 Support
Thaumaturge is a buff-oriented support who are able to boost his allies' damage through swelling their left and right arm, and when combined with chronomancer's multitude of beneficial buffs such as haste and quicken, we get a buff oriented support who excels in making up for the weaker gears when taken in a party. In fact, it is even possible to clear up to 40F in ET without a single trans on the DPS with this build as demonstrated by our fellow Korean players - http://www.inven.co.kr/board/powerbbs.php?come_idx=4189&l=1006. All in all, a very well rounded build that benefits your party a lot.
Stat Distribution:
There are 2 possible stat distribution for this build - either full CON or full INT. Full INT gives faster leveling and stronger buffs right off the bat, however transposing for more survivability can prove to be troublesome as you will be left with huge missing HP everytime you cast transpose.
On the other hand, full CON gives more survivability, however has a slower leveling speed and you will have to take the trouble to time your transpose so that you can convert to INT at the right times where you need cast your buffs.
Skill Explanation:
Wizard
Energy Bolt: For leveling purposes
Lethargy: Useful debuff, attribute for additional damage is very useful
Sleep: Extremely potent CC with unlimited AoE. Very useful on defence floors in ET.
Earthquake: 1 point for knockback. Useful in certain situations.
Linker
Joint Penalty: For making single target damage into AoE. Note that many mobs actively break or resist links, so don't be too surprised when it's not up to your standards.Attributes that increase elemental damage is also useful when paired with certain DPS such as elementalist.
Hangman's Knot: For grouping enemies together.
Physical Link: Point dumper
Unbind: In case you cast physical link.
Thaumaturge
Swell left arm: Buffs the sub weapon of all your party members. May be useful for DPS like Schwarzer Reiter or Hackapell who relies on sub weapon damage.
Shrink Body: May have some use for decreasing physical and magical attack via attribute. More of a point dumper.
Swell Body: Point Dumper. Don't use this in ET unless you want to get chewed out by your party. May find some use while farming.
Transpose: For versatality. As a support, you need to stay alive, thus CON benefits you greatly. However, your swell left arm and right arm scales on INT, which means you need to convert your stat to INT when buffing for maximum effect.
Reversi: Very useful in many sceanrios, such as on 27F where you can reversi Raise.
Swell Right Arm: The reason why we want Thauma2. Buffs your DPS's main hand, and since most DPS benefits from their main hand weapon except select few, this is crucial to our build.
Chronomancer
Quicken: Boosts attack speed for your party members. One of the key skills of chronomancer. The attribute that provides crit rate is extremely valuable as well ever since crit rate was removed from DEX.
Stop: Your most powerful CC. Extremely beneficial on Defence floors in ET as it can stall for a very long duration of time for your party to regroup and wait for CD on other skills to reset. We want to put as many points onto here to maximise the duration.
Slow: Useful skill somewhat, but unfortunately Stop is more useful in most situations and we cannot afford too many points onto here. Has an attribute that decreases afflicted enemy’s crit resistance, scales on INT.
Reincarnate: 1 pointer skill for resurrecting boss in Saalus missions.
Haste: Another one of your key skills. Boosts movement speed for your whole party. Extremely beneficial in all situations, especially on the “afk” floors in ET if you do not have a taoist in the party. Attribute evasion nullifies Quicken: Critical Rate’s decrease in evasion.
Backmask: Contingency resurrect in case your priest dies. Has very high CD and costs 10k per cast so save it for most important situations.
Pass: Your most iconic skill. Reduces CD for you and your party members’ skills. With some practice, time it with your DPS’s hardest hitting skills to maximise their damage.
If you have more than one CCSage in the party, coordinate with him so that you don’t overwrite each other’s pass.
